Although I agree that Horry's play last year was dirty, I think Suns fns should quit bringing it up. Suck it up and keep playing. Like the Bulls did when the Pistons used to beat them up. Besides, its not like the Suns are the cleanest bunch. As I recall Bell clothlined Kobe in one of the most unnecesary plays I have seen in the playoffs. and Laker fans are not crying about it. They are anxious to get back in the ring so that Kobe can throw his elbows around after every shot.

Suns vs. Spurs is too hard to call. A couple of years ago the Grizzlies swept the Spurs in the regular season but were swept in the playoffs. The Spurs have experience and play defense but the Suns are looking for revenge. Anyone can win. I hope its Phoenix but I have been watching the NBA long enough to know that Defense wins championships so I wouldn't be surprised to see the Spurs back in the Finals.

he SPURS are in BIG trouble, here is why:

1. They have NEVER repeated as NBA champions

2. Manu G. is all banged up.

3. Duncan is a year older and like said previosly, doesnt have the stamina to play tough low post D against Amare or Shaq and be effective on offense.

4.  Tony Parker is having a down year... He should have never gortten married...

5. Even if they make it to the Finals, the Celtics will be waiting, and they are HUNGRY...

There you have it folks...  Spurs are done, time to start rebuilding Pop...

lol Manu is fine and rested now, parker just had a big game against the Jazz and is playing well now and Duncan's numbers are the same as last year.

Flop? Steve Nash is the biggest flop artist in the NBA. If he didn't flop against Horry last year then the series could have been different. The Spurs play defense, which is uncommon to many teams in the NBA and gets a bad rap because of it. Bottom line, Parker and Manu have been banged up this year. If the are healthy, then they are the better team and should win. If either of the big 3 get hurt then they will go down. Parker missed a ton of games this year and Manu missed a good bit and yet they finished one game away from the best record in the west. Anyone realize that? They are the best team in the west if they are healthy.

Although it may be wishful thinking, I am also thinking this series could be done in 5...in the Suns favor. I know the Spurs have history and I respect that history. I would not be stunned if they were back in game form, but they are not playing with a sense of urgency nor do the Spurs organization believe they need to win this. They've already proven who they are, and with their age, if the Suns can get game one today, it could be the beginning of the end for the Spurs.
Remember, Spurs fans (as I know as a Suns fan), the road to the finals are brutal this year. Two years ago it was a basically a cake walk for the Suns, Mavs and Spurs. Last year, it got a little tougher, right up to the "NBA Finals" (Suns-Spurs).  The Suns have a huge chip, and a huge expectation, to get past the Spurs. Amare is now in his natural position, and Shaq is not letting Duncan get loose. Mano is not as healthy as some of you all think out there, and that is from the Spurs organization themselves, not some wishful Suns fan.
Here we go!

It is rare for any team to repeat but the Spurs have been in the running every year for a while now and if any team is going to do it, they are as likely as anyone.

Manu is playing and playing well.

Tim is still very effective and clutch. The Spurs still play team ball and Tim has proven all year that he is still a huge part of the team. He has more experience but no evidence of slowing down.

Tony Parker is still Premier and able to score in the paint against any team.

The Celtics will have a tough time beating The Pistons, but either team will be the favorites in the Finals.

The only certainty about the Western Conference playoffs this year is that the Spurs will whine a minimum of 40 times per game about calls and no-calls.  It is really annoying...

In my opinion, whoever wins game 2 will win the series.....
