I'd love to see this line up every day I hate Gross starting also and I also love for Bill to rest for some time.

looks great, agreed nice to see Kendall getting a rest he could probably use it. Hopefully this is the start of Corey Hart in the 5 spot. Glad Hardy is batting 2nd instead of Gross.
Let's take this last one and bring some momentum into Cincinnati, GO CREW

Was that a mistake. Im assuming you meant the Cards. Whoops. Thank you, sir. I've had Brewers/Cubs on my brain all season; I didn't expect the Cards to be doing as well as they are.

I agree and I love Hardy at the top. JJ may be the best candidate on this team to bat 7th in front of the pitcher, but that most certainly doesn't mean that 7th is the best spot in the lineup for him.

I wasn't aware of Craig Counsell still being in the Majors. I thought he was down in Nashville.

Now Brew Crew fans, please enlighten me since I don't follow your team all that closely. But why doesn't Ned have Corey Hart bat third since he has the hot bat? And move Braun to the fifith spot? Just wondering?

Nope, Craiger is still a Brewer and has been pretty clutch so far this season. He was a huge part of the comeback that almost tied the game last night; but anyways.
Corey isn't batting 3rd because he is the best base-stealer on this team and the best bat w/RISP. Batting him 3rd would take away his speed (even though their not going right now, it's not wise to risk an out on the bags with Braun and Fielder behind you) and there is also a better chance of having runners on base in the 5-hole.

No Hart in the 5 spot is right where he should be to give protection for Fielder. The Cards especially have been pitching around Fielder. I don't like Gross anywhere he can't hit and is below average in the field. I would rather have dillon in there because I see Kapler is still injured.

JJ is the best #2 hitter this team has. Sure he really doesn't hit to the right side ever but he can take pitches to let Ricky run and he will see plenty of fastballs. (kendall is the only other decent option in my opinion) Hardy is our best fastball hitter and will obviously get more fastball hitting 2nd. Again in those million different post about line-ups I said I would like Hardy hitting 2nd and Cameron when he comes back down in the 6 or 7 slot where he and Bill Hall can swing for the fences and strike out a ton. When they are done with that garbage in what should be the 6 and 7 spots (Hall and Cameron whichever order you want) Kendall should be hitting 8th, I have a feeling he will be leading off a lot of innings and the pitcher 9th to move him over for the top of the order.

Gross is a PH at best for this team. Apparently Kapler's shoulder still isn't good enough to play, so we don't have any other CF options. I don't ever want to see Gross as more than a pinch hitter on this team or a guy to give a start to once a month.

Citron you hit it on the head, can't agree more! Let's hope the day off for Kendall and Billy (and let me say, he needs to get his head in the game. His at bats have been half-assed for this series, am I the only one who thinks he goes up to the plate with his head in the clouds? You're not going to get fastballs every pitch, Billy!
It's about time that Corey is in the 5 hole, I agree. He should have been switched w/ Billy after the homestand. Hope it pays off. Although the offensive temptation to bat him 3rd is there, his speed would be lost. Let him work his way over to third and we can count on Craigs to get him in, or a sac from the catcher.
And we really need Kapler back, this Gabe Gross crap has got to stop. Not a fan.

Well, I guess we get a preview of how well Hart will protect Fielder if moved into the five spot (knowing its going to be a very small sample). Billy finally gets a much needed mental day off and Kendall gets a much needed day off period. I really like Hardy back in the two hole, and there just isnt anything you can do about playing Gross right now.

Hopefully today will do us some good, we can't be swept by the Cards. Our offense really needs to snap out of this "funk" because it has event sunk down to Kendall now it seems.

so im going to catch a lot of flack for this.......i've been saying it all season, manny para is NOT ready for the bigs yet. 32+ pitches, 3BB's and 1 homer in 1 1/2 innings. We'll see what happens w/ manny in the future, but he's yet to show he can last longer than 5 innings, and even then its not lights out stuff.
