What team do you hate the most, and why?

I'm a Yankee fan but I voted for the Braves for my wife, who once burned a Tom Glavine McFarlane sports figure over a bonfire.

I echo alot of what heitgross01 said--I live in CT and hear alot of crap from Yankee fans----and I got tired of the Braves beating the Mets up every year.
I don't hate the Phillies--to me it's hard to dislike Utley,Rollins and Howard--and the guys that post on here are good guys.

The Yankees. It's been a very enjoyable millenium so far.

Well in the homerism 101 class thread by reyes i talked about the Phillies who i praised, but in all reality it is the Braves. They have been the class of the NL East for almost 16 years now and they just beat up on the Mets year in and year out.
And the worst part is the fans still think because they won 14 Straight titles it is still their division. That was lost 2 years ago when the Mets won adn the Phillies won last year. 2 3rd place finishes in a row negates that.
I have no problem with the Yankees. And i actually root for them when they aren't playing the Mets.

Then think about how hard it is to win a division 2 times in a row. Yeah. 14 straight titles confers dominance for at least 7 years after said streak ends. Have some respect for one of the greatest team achievments ever.

Would have been alot greater had they managed to win more than one title.
They're one step above the Buffalo Bills.

People naturaly hate whoever wins, thats why the Yankees are probably the most hated team in Baseball and the Braves a very close second. The Red Sox will climb up in that group if they dont stop winning world championships soon...

It is impressive, 14 straight, but when you have only 1 Championship out of those 14, then it is hard to call it the "greatest team achievement ever". Instead it makes you the Buffalo Bills of MLB. An impressive run, but more notable for the lack of big wins.

If no fans showed up to see it, did ever really happen?

Original arguement here. The play-offs are a crap shoot. It happens.

14,
I absolutely respect what they have done. No doubt about it. But it still doesn't mean that it is your division now when you have finished 3rd two years in a row. Whoever wins the division the year before is their division and until they get knocked off will always be. it was the Braves division for 14 years and now it is the Phillies.

Smartest thing I have ever heard a Mets fan say :-) could not agree with you more.

Seriously, how many times are you guys going to say the same thing in one thread? Just think about it as a baseball fan, rather than a Mets fan. 14. It's a big number. Would it be better if the Braves had won 4 WS titles? Of course, but when a 83 win team wins a WS, that kinda demeans the idea that the best team wins, doesn't it?
