I'm sorry to pile on, I really am, but after hearing about how much talent the tarheel have, now none of their main guys are good enough for the NBA. Its fine, they are good college players, but the HYPE machine was going crazy untilthey met some relaNBA material in the Final Four.

One more thing, sorry again...they act like its their decision, like they'd be doing the NBA a favor by coming out...c'mon, lets be honest Hansbrough would likely be picked in the 20's, Lawson about the same, and Ellington in the 2nd rd.

U may be trying to be obnoxious but I'm a UNC fan and I agree with u. All three need to come back to improve. They did run into NBA`talent and they exposed them . They all have real areas where they need to improve. Tyler need to continue to improve his outside shot, Wayne needs to be more consistent with his jumpshot and Ty needs to be better at running the team in the half court sets.

At this point the only one who would be even close to lottery pick status would've been Hansbrough, and he's falling by the day as more guys come out. If the three (and whoever was advising them) were smart, they'd stay at UNC, which would make them almost a shoo-in for a return to the Final Four, and should they win the championship could then ride the crest of that wave to certainly higher draft spots, or more importantly for their advisors, posses, hangers-on etc... more money. The road to hell is littered with college players who were somehow sold a bill of goods by people in their ear saying how "ready" they were for the NBA when they were barely capable of holding their water in the NBADL, then once the gravy train ran out there they were with no NBA future and no college degree, not to mention more than likely deserted by everybody who had no use for them once the money and fame ran out. It'd be a shame to see history repeat itself, not to mention a waste of a perfectly good run-on sentence...

I dont see any of these guys coming out this season. They all three can use and extra year of college to improve their stock and I think they all know that. With one of the best recruiting classes in the country this year, I see the Tar Heels cutting down the nets in 2009.

how are they acting like theyd be doing the nba a favor by going pro? its a very tough decision. they SHOULD be taking their time.
lawson is the only one who has shown potential to maybe be a real starter in the nba at this point. you arent sayin anything everyone else doesnt already know.
but its laughable to say that unc FINALLY ran into a team with more talent and couldnt handle it. unc beat louisville, who was playing as well as anyone, then had one bad game against the national champs. (and did trim a 28 point lead to 4... takes pretty good talent to do that)

About the final four NBA material. Hansbrough sat out part of Kansas' run don't ask me why. And I believe he was the main reason they made that comeback. I hope they stay, but I think everyone has underestimated Hansbrough. He will definetly suprise everyone who underestimates him in the NBA. UNC should have won that game, but Kansas had more swagger. Its all there is to it. Just don't knock Hansbrough for being the reason they got there and the reason that they had a comeback in the FInal Four.

i think that all three will decide to stay. the only one i can see leaving this year is lawson, who i think has the most NBA talent of the group. hansbrough does love college and would love to break those records. ellington would go late 2nd round and would be NBDL for a few years. i could see lawson being a very good backup point guard if he got picked later in the first(if he does come out i hope my lakers pick him). hansbrough wont be amazing in the NBA but i do believe he'll be a productive pro in the David Lee type mold. maybe average about 10 and 8 after a few years learning the NBA game.

there is no doubt in my mind that UNC was highly over rated all year long....i said it at the beginning of the year....i said it all year....and i'm still saying it after the year is over.......they had a good team.....but, they were way over matched against kansas and memphis......a number of other teams would have knocked them out of the tourny also..........however, one year can make a big difference.....and if UNC keeps everyone........i'll have no problem with them being pre-season #1.....and i'll probably predict them to win the national championship......

halo27...
try to use the ellipsis a little more... it's a very effective means to say nothing and let the reader infer whatever he wants. for instance, your first sentence "over rated all year long..." I take the ellipsis to mean, if by 'over rated' you mean 'takes bowel movements in koach k's mouth'..."
and i'll end with the ellipsis, i.e. three consecutive periods
