And guess what...I and a lot of other people were not that impressed with Memphis State all year...and in the end Memphis State proved us right when they came up short...talk about overhyped, fraudulent and overrated...Memphis State is the poster team for all 3 of those adjectives.

This was a great team that had their worst game of the season in their FF game. Oh, that's right. They made the Final Four when everyone expected them to never make it there. A "number of other teams" that could have knocked them off didn't make it as far as they did. COMPLETELY OVERRATED. You're an embarrassment.

You UNC fans should stop treating the KU game like an aberration and just admit that your team got beat by a better team this time.

If Hansbrough can't stop relying on the refs for calls, he'll be chewed up and spit out in the NBA. They can play pretty physical in that league.

Compared to the rest of the season, this game was not normal by any standards for UNC. I watched KU play all season long and they NEVER played as well as they did against UNC. So, UNC's crappy performance was as much an aberration as KU's flawless first half.

The KU fan base is pathetic. Act like you've won before...oh wait, I guess waiting 20+ years will do that to you.

UNC was probably the worst team defensive team i've ever seen in a final four. They were completely dominated by Kansas. They would have been dominated by Memphis also. Their defensive intensity was no match for the fire power Kansas had. When UNC got the game close, Kansas simply just turned it back on and blew them out again. It was an embarrasing game for the tarheels. They were exposed for exactly what they were all year long. A sorry ass defensive team.

Goodbye Halo...Memphis State is losing 3 starters...for you to even think they can reload and have those still left or coming in fill the shoes of those leaving would really show your stupidity...not that you haven't done so already.

The way you ASSUME Memphis State would have dominated UNC just because Kansas did, shows a lack of basketball intellect I now realize the majority of Memphis State fans suffer from...you more so than the rest...

Are you going to be alright next year when Memphis State has 3, 4 or 5 losses entering conference play??  I also don't see a perfect C-USA record for Memphis State next season either...due to the talent leaving the roster.  

Carolina may not have been a very good defensive team this season...at times they were "sorry ass"...I'll give you that...but at least they didn't lose a championship because their star players choked at the free throw line.

Kansas was the best team this year...NOT Memphis State...they were exposed as a team that couldn't hit pressure free throws

As for the better team between Carolina and Memphis State in '07 - '08...doesn't matter and we'll never know...and that includes you and your opinion.

To say that UNC was inferior is pretty arrogant on your part...Carolina-Kansas on another night could have produced an entirely different result...Kansas was the better team...I'm not discrediting them...but Carolina was one of the 4 best teams all year long...for you to bash them and call them "fraudulent' and "over hyped" as you have is pretty ridiculous...Carolina had some weaknesses...every team did...

Yes their defense was their main weakness...but for 92% of the season, their offense was more than good enough to cover up their defensive lapses...it wasn't good enough against Kansas...

I still disagree that UNC was inferior to Memphis...just because they gave Kansas a better game means nothing...Memphis never played Carolina...you can believe it if you want and obviously you do, but the fact is we'll never know.

Its not ridiculous and its not UNC's fault either. 3 things happened to UNC this year thats rare.

1. Their out of conference schedule was pathetic. Typically its at least a little better. Some of the teams on their out of conference schedule were in down years.

2. This was no doubt a down year for the ENTIRE ACC. Duke and their smoke and mirrors were even more fraudulent than UNC and this is supposedly the best team UNC played all year. Duke was not a very good basketball team. As I predicted, as soon as Duke played someone with some size, they would be out of the tourny. This almost happened in the first round as a 2 seed.

3. The cake walk to the final 4. They basically had 4 home games. The toughest matchup coming against a louisville team that was in disarray most of the season. Its all subjective but, I think Louisville would have won on a more neutral site.

These 3 factors helped contribute to their fraudulent reputation as the favorite to win the National Championship.Their win lose record was padded. Its what led them to be over hyped. A lot of people that actually watched UNC play this year said the same things i'm saying. However, most were blinded by ACC,  UNC, and tradition. Thats about as deep as they analyzed it. People see ACC, UNC, and Tradition and they immediately think they are the best. I knew UNC wasnt the best team and it prooved to be true.
