 Let"s try this again.

Phoenix Suns (Playoff Roster)

San Antonio Spurs (Playoff Roster)

A Rivalry in the making?

The Suns (55-27) are primed for a great first-round matchup with the defending NBA champion Spurs (56-26), who have been Phoenix's biggest hurdle in recent seasons. The Suns won the season series against San Antonio this year (3-1) for the first time since 2002-03.  The Spurs eliminated Phoenix from the playoffs in 2003, 2005 and 2007 with last year's exit coming after a Game 4 win on San Antonio's court resulted in Game 5 suspensions for Amare Stoudemire and Boris Diaw. The Suns lost without them in Phoenix and were eliminated at San Antonio in Game 6.

Had San Antonio lost to Utah and Phoenix won, the Suns would have been the fourth seed and faced Houston in the first round on the road. Had the Rockets lost to the Clippers and the Suns won, the Suns would have faced Houston at home.

Should be a good one folks.

I'll be the first to post here. Should be another tightly contested series, personally I can't wait.
Lets hope for another amazing series.

Like anyone cares about this series with the cavs-wiz playing, j/k this series will be a barnburner, and someone is seriously going to get their feelings hurt... One of these two teams is going to get bounced in the first round, who woulda thought that??

I'm out

Yes, this should be one of the best of the series being played! The Suns have had some ups and downs this season, but they certainly have what it takes to beat the Spurs. Nash is an incredible play maker, and is able to make things happen on the court to create opportunities for other players, but he is also an incredible shooter from just about anywhere on the floor. Shaq has given them an additional presence and his rebounding abilities has given the Suns a boost towards the later part of this season. The Suns have a few players that are injury prone, and that may be their downfall. Grant Hill and Shaq have had their share of injuries this season, and the Suns will need a healthy team to beat the Spurs in this first round. These are two quality teams that both have the potential to go far into the series. I would not be surprised to see this series go the full seven games. It should be very exciting, so let the games begin!!!!

This is the series ive been waiting to see. This could be a western conf. finals matchup, but we get it in the first round. So far I see Shaq not making much of an impact, but the Suns are getting wide open looks and hitting them.

Shaq needs to stay on the floor and out of foul trouble. Duncan's killing us right now.
