Backstrom can't handle playoff hockey. -

	Backstom does well during the season but he can't play in the playoffs. Josh Harding should have been given a shot in this series starting with Game 5 after he was able to stop everything shot at him during game four. He faced the same adversity with the power play yet he didn't let one in. He should have at least been given a chance in game 5.

	You my friend are a dope. Blame Gaborik, blame Risebourogh, blame LeMaire, blame our goons. You cannot blame Backstrom. He played good all series. Hello... score some goal. I personally blame Theodore. He played awesome. He is the MVP.

	You are on this. Can't win scoring 2 or less every game. Gabby needs to learn how to handle pressure and what to do when they take him away.

	Don't blame backstrom... this is a goal scoring league and the Wild DO NOT score goals... the Wild got shut down by the wash up theodore and it was tough to watch.... I live in MN and I root for the Wild even though I am a Ranger fan.. and all I have to say is get a new system in... there is no room in the new NHL for this style of hockey.... its boring and it puts clamps on gabby and mika... but to blame backstrom when really he only had 1 bad game and gave his team a chance to win in the other 5 games ps T-jack blows and the vikes need a real qb... id rather have chad pennington then T-jack

	The Wild should have been more serious about getting Forsburg. He draws alot of attention and makes plays. It would allow others to free wheel a bit. Vikes should look QB in second round, maybe SCal kid. T-jack needs to move up the learning curve fast to make offense go. It is one thing to have a receiver that can catch a long ball, but need to also make good decisions.

	Booty is who your referring to and yea hes got the physical tools and the resume playing at USC but this kid folds under pressure.. never really showed up for the big games.. if it wasnt for USC fantastic D and a kid named Joe mcknight... booty wouldnt have been so great in college... I say The Vikes look at Andrew Woodson... or Brian Brohm they both might drop to round 2

	Back to hockey... Niklas Backstrom did an excellent job this series - it was the offense that killed us, and the system they play. I don't think it's a coincidence that Gaborik started getting more shots on goal when Lemaire was forced to go away from their usual style of play. As a result, they were getting more chances, and on the other end, Colorado didn't get many goals. Think if we would have healthy defensemen and a pairing that didn't include Kim Johnsson and Martin Skoula. Wanna guess what my first off-season move would be?

	It is funny how this thread turned from hockey to football. Must be time to pack up the skates and grab the cleats. I want to see what you are all saying about the vikings and Tarvaris Jackson by the end of the season.

	Vikes, there's nothing wrong with Backstrom's playoff hockey. It's hard to win when the offense doesn't score. Then again, the same goes for the Vikings -- do ya blame the defense for losing when the Queens lose a 17-14 game? Personally, as I have posted a few times on the Vikes board, I think T-Jack will do a good job in the coming years. If ya wanna get a pre season head start on doing battle with Iggy, check out his Gaborik thread on this board:)

	i bet 90% of the goals scored on backs in colorado series, he was on his knees. if Ryan Smyth would have shot in middle of the net he would have scored. granted he picked that corner. hes just a garbage goalie
