Really not sure why this has come as such a suprise to most of you, I thinking the Wild or minnesota pro sports in general should change the last names to - 1 and done - has a great catch- Minnesota "1 and done " wild.
Year in and year out it's not just the WILD but the TWINS,T'PUPS,QUEENS All get to the post season but lose!!?? If the fans had there choice they would spend money to get the right players, but for some reason the owners don't so except it and dont bitch.
As for Warped,Robtangle,wild14 - what happen to our great/future all-star Brent Burns?? I believe You guys praised how great he was ? He did nothing but LOSE half the games for us!!! He had atleast 2-3 turnovers that led to goals!!! But since the WILD like to do nothing at the deadline you can pretty much kiss any stanley cup away.
The WILD really need to address somethings this off season- Dimitra,Rolston, Defenseman? J-L ? They really need to take a step back and look at the whole picture , Because making a deal for Chris Simon at the dead-line is like the Twins Trading Castillo to the Met's for who???
If The TWINS,WILD,QUEENS,OR T-PUPS Want to win then spend some money -- bottom Frickin Line!!! So if you dont like what i said .. remember I said back before the playoffs started they might get to the post season but they make no moves to improve. maybe next year or the next or the next ....nah why tease your self.
Hmmm.. another unintelligent post from you.. what a surprise! Burns was why we lost this series?!? The blueliners were a big part of it, but try guys like Skoula, Hill, and Johnsson(<-- btw, this was a pretty big signing at the time, I guess just throwing money around isn't always the wise move). Try injuries to Schultz and Foster. And criticizing the Chris Simon deal is ridiculous. They got him because there was no guarantee Boogaard was going to be able to come back from injury. Makes perfect sense. If you want to criticize them not getting someone else, very well. Personally, I don't think a guy like Jokinen (especially at the cost of Butch, there goes 50 assists) was going to make this team better than say Detroit, San Jose, Pittsburgh, or Montreal (sorry guys, but these teams were just playing at a different level this year than the Wild). Pittsburgh gave up way too much to rent Hossa, but they were in a better position to do that than the Wild. The way I look at it is we're going to put up our first division championship banner and we've got some great pieces to build on in terms of contending for a cup. And Burns is definitely one of those. The future is bright in Wild country.
If The TWINS,WILD,QUEENS,OR T-PUPS Want to win then spend some money
Do you even know what you're talking about? The Twins play in MLB, where the larger markets are always going to be able to spend more until they decide they want to make things fair across the board. Unfortunately there is no incentive for them to do that. All the other teams operate under a salary cap and they aren't just spending the minimum. In fact, before this season the Wolves were in the top 5 in payroll for a number of years. Perhaps you forgot about them doling out the richest contract in NBA history not that long ago?
Tacoboy - I figured I'd get one of ya to repley with some long story of how I dont know what im saying? HMMM... pretty funny , i remember saying... 1 and done ( but i guess i dont know what im saying) and as for criticizing the Simon trade ?? How can you call yourself a sports fan let alone a Wild fan, So you going to say that the WILD were not sure of Boogaard's return...man is that stupid to say!! The WILD needed goals not an inforcer ?! Whats wrong with Voras or Velliux ? If the WILD really wanted to win they would have gone after Federov or Richards or even Kuba for defensive help!! You make no sense in your repley, saying that Jokinen would have not been good ....wow.. like Warped say's .. put the BONG down!!! or pass it , that is the dumbess thing ive ever read here .
And yes i know what the frick im talking about oosley with the MLB and the salary cap , just making a point on how EVERY minnesota team falls in that same path - oh and by the way having the top 5 in payroll means NOTHING!! Winning is what you want right ??
also about BURNS hhmmm man im not sure but i watched all the games and yes he played like shit !!! If your going to be tagged a super star ( only by you guys) then you need to produce ( yeah that means in the playoffs) and if your to old or to young to remember they said the same about GABORIK and every team has proven if you shut him down then you can beat them, also the btw comment ( man are you stupid!!) of course he was a big sign and a flop of that , but i really dont see what you are talking about , you all blame Skoula& Hill,Johnsson , but what about BURNS play ?? If you were not watching I can give you play by play --- Burns takes the puck up , past the blue ,then the center , oh no turns it over for a.........goal!!!!!!!! and that happen how many times in this series, im not hateing on BURNS but stop praising the dude and making reasons for him messing up - him and Johnsson made bad mistakes that costed us big. So except it and move on. I have go CAPS!!!!!
Wow, spooly. Ya finally make one prediction (out of about a zillion) that pans out, and now ya start writing like ya got an SPA education or something?! You were right about the "one and done" prediction, tho I don't recall ya predicting the loss Nick Schultz and Kurtis Foster -- that would've impressed me enough to convince me that ya knew something about sports.
You're right about Brent Burns' play being below par in the playoffs, but so was virtually everyone else's play for the Wild. To suggest that Brent Burns lost the playoffs for us just brings out the true Cretin in ya -- anyone who knows jack about hockey will gladly take one Burns over two Skoulas, Johnssons and Hills, and even throw in a draft choice for good measure.
You're getting better, tho, spooly. Some of those posts actually show signs of intelligent life, and those grammar lessons from your dad are paying off big time. One of these days, ya might be able to hold your own when talking trash with the big enchiladas.
So you going to say that the WILD were not sure of Boogaard's return...man is that stupid to say!! Well Lemaire was quoted as saying as such after they picked up Simon, so yes I'm going to say it.
You make no sense in your repley, saying that Jokinen would have not been good
That isn't what I said. I said he wasn't going to make them better than the elite teams in the playoffs. We would have had to give up at least our 2nd leading point getter on the team. How does that make you so much better? You get a good player and you lose a good player. Where does that leave you? Duh.
oh and by the way having the top 5 in payroll means NOTHING!! Winning is what you want right ??
So which is it? Do they need to spend money to win like you said earlier, or does it not matter how much they spend?
also about BURNS hhmmm man im not sure but i watched all the games and yes he played like shit !!! If your going to be tagged a super star
I'm not saying he had a great series, but he was better than all the guys I mentioned. And if you can't see that he is an up and coming star in the NHL, you should just stop watching hockey. He isn't there yet, but he will be.
The rest of your post is too unintelligible for me to reply to.
