Mark Phelps is the new Drake coach

Tommorow at 11:00 Drake will hold a press conference and announce that Mark Phelps is the new Drake head coach. He was an assistant at Arizona State and has a strong reputation for good recruiting skills. I understand why Keno Davis left but am dissapointed to see him go. I hope Mark Phelps can build on the success of last year and keep the winning seasons coming. Des Moines is a great city and deserves a great team. Go Bulldogs!

I like this move.  My neighbor is an ex-ASU athlete, follows their program close and was saying the same thing about Phelps that you just did.  It's a strong signing.

Still sorry to see Keno leave.  He gave us a good year and something to build on, but still BS he left like he did.
