I don't care what people say, this was a great year for the Caps! It definately was a dissapointment to loose last night, but this definately will benefit us for years to come. Philly played a very good series playing playoff hockey driving to the net and putting pressure on Huet all series long, they got a couple more bounces I thought in the series, but thats how it works. Also, you have to work to get those bounces, and you have to tip your hat to Biron who kept them in the game in the third, and overtime! As a Caps fan for years we were all getting tired of the REBUILDING WORD, which was exactly what it was, boring, non-entertaining, and really gave us no hope! Since, Bruce took over this team has been a joy to watch, and should only get better over the next year or two! With, of course OV, but Backstrom steppin in and playing all 82 games at a high level, Semin possibly finally playing to his potential, a great year and leading goal scorer Mike Green, Brooks Laich showing some scoring touch w/ his game, etc.. etc.... Very exicted I got a chance to watch the improbable turnaround from worst to the playoffs! Of course even though they lost the great first round series which the Flyers won! Great season, sure well hear about it for Mr MVP at the awards ceremony! Had to stick it in there, and good luck to Backstrom for rookie of the year even though dont think hell win it?
