Look, "Hoss", I made a legit thread that I KNEW would piss off you fans. Did I intentionally mean for it to? No. It was too good of a topic though, so I proceeded nonethelessYou knew it would, but didn't intend it to?? That pretty much sums up every post. You know what you say is going to rile a certain group, but you say it anyway.. that is indeed intent. Do I care? no.. is there really anything wrong with that? no.. as I have said numerous times it's the ignorant things you said AFTER that generalizing all Cowboys fans that were off the mark and deserved comment. Did I jab?? Of course.. it was a counter punch to you assuming that I and all Cowboys fans behaved in a certain way. Is that really any different than what you got upset about when the first fan lumped you in with other Falcons fans concerning Vick?? No.. it isn't.
I must be onto something when I call you fans nuts because you keep coming back to battle me on it. Actually you are the one doing most of the battling.. just read your last few posts :) I also fail to see where you tried to get back on 'subject' respectfully.. it simply never happened. Honestly.. I could care less.. it's just a way to pass the time and at times mildly amusing :)

Your responses tell me that you do care because you're defending the 1 team and the fanbase, which happen to be yours. Let's just cut the crap. If you didn't care, you never would have responded to this post. I intend to speak my mind, even though I'm aware people will be offended. You say that I got "upset" at the Falcons remark? Maybe you should read it again, followed by the other 4-5 post reiterating the point because you guys don't understand very well. I'm glad Vick is gone. We have Matt Ryan. He'll be the future of the team, and could be another Big Ben or Eli. Let's just see what I wrote..

------------------

"Ah, so since I am a Falcons fan, I am immediately guilty of being a Michael Vick and Bobby Petrino supporter. Why don't you stop assuming and being so stereotypical? You look like an idiot. Vick's a piece of crap, and I hope Petrino goes 0-12 next season at Arkansas.

The difference between the Cowboys and Falcons? The allegations come out AFTER Michael is in Atlanta, and Petrino's character comes out AFTER he signs with the team... Dallas is signing Pacman a day after we found out that he was the one who payed off the gunman that  paralyzed someone! What are they thinking?

Atlanta wouldn't be that stupid to pull a stunt like this.

Dallas is now tied to Pacman, and he now represents your team. Thinking that the Cowboys were classy, I figured they would stop looking at him after what has transpired in the past day. Boy, was I wrong.
"

----------------------------------------

Where's the proof of me being upset? Typed words have no way of telling unless you start calling names.. Calling someone an idiot and saying they look like an idiot on 2 different things. I gave you my stance.. You keep disagreeing about my own feelings on a situation! How is that? hahaha

You repeat your argument in every post... You think I'm a cry baby and ignorant, while throwing in the fact that Pacman Jones is an idiot. To you, I am apparently branding Cowboy fans under one category... You aren't doing a very good job of being an example to prove me wrong (because you're trying to best me in an argument when all I ever wanted was a simple response on whether you agree or disagree).

There's a saying. If you don't want criticism, do nothing, say nothing, be nothing. If you don't want to hear it, just turn away. You won't back me down from my stance on this, or make me change my belief. No matter how hard you try and twist the argument in your favor, I won't budge. There's proof to what I said. Cowboy fans just see it in a more offensive light.

When I question your team's move and you come back and attack my team, I really don't care because I'll agree with you that my teams sucks. But it also shows the same Cowboy attitude that I lived with for the past 4 years. Arrogance, bias, and an immediate defense to anything said about them. God forbid that I broke the law of questioning the Cowboys on some very iffy moves. I've got every right to state my opinion, and you have every right to state yours... But it just goes to show how defensive you are that we aren't even talking about the topic at hand anymore. And let's not do the old Texas style turnaround of ME being the insensitive one.

The post is about the Cowboys making these moves.. All of the sudden, it's about my team because you guys can't take the post so you try and drive it to your liking. So let's not talk about sensitivity.

I never tried to respectfully get back on subject. I knew you guys would knock it down a level again, so why bother? And again, if you didn't care, you would not be trying to counteract the posts... Face it, you care.

because you're trying to best me in an argument when all I ever wanted was a simple response on whether you agree or disagree).Wrong.. I'm not trying to 'best' anyone.. if you had in fact merely asked for a response I would have merely given one.  There's a saying. If you don't want criticism, do nothing, say nothing, be nothing. If you don't want to hear it, just turn away.Exactly the point I've been making. I didn't respond to any criticism, as I stated I'm not sold on the move for Pacman yet.. what I responded to was how YOU responded to criticism after asking for it (admittedly) with your starting of this thread. If you can't take it.. don't ask for it. When I question your team's move and you come back and attack my team, I really don't care because I'll agree with you that my teams sucks. So in your mind calling someones team a "Penal League's Team" is not attacking? which I must re-iterate.. I really didn't care about your first post one way or the other :) You seem to think this is all about that, why can't you understand it's about your hypocritical attitude and has nothing to do with your posts concerning the Pacman move?
I never tried to respectfully get back on subject. I knew you guys would knock it down a level again, so why bother? And again, if you didn't care, you would not be trying to counteract the posts... Face it, you care.Nah.. I just like posting when I have some time to kill and it's impossible to find decent threads until the season starts back.. so here I am :) deal with it :P

Just when I thought I had you figured.... You say you aren't trying to best me, but here you are trying to take me to school on how wrong I am. I'm sorry, I didn't take the "Dallas Cowboys Treatment Test" in high school, so I don't see how I could be wrong on anything here when I am stating my opinion based on what I see and have seen. Most people see it outside of Texas. I stated my opinion, and waited for a response.... On that topic, not to change subjects to where the topic reflects on how I am so wrong.

That's why I know that statement holds water, because most fans immediately pushed it away and started on me.

I answer criticism. I never cried about it. I answer stupidity as you saw early on in this post where the fool brands me as a Vick lover because I am a Falcons fan. Then you guys try to turn  that around on me by saying that I am too incompetent to handle it.. Well, I am doing a pretty good job of handling it right now. I'm not the one debating this. You decided to respond (yes, YOU), so I have been answering your call ever since. And here you are reversing that by telling me that I'm the one sensitive and defensive because of my replies. You could have stopped posting a long time ago, and I would have as well... But since it's my post, it's my right to respond to anybody who talks to me. Now if I came onto your post starting something, then yes I am the one who's got an issue. Saying that I have ignorance when I don't ignore anything you are saying doesn't make much sense to me either.

This is the problem with you fans. You always go off topic if you don't like the person's attitude. You know the issue is not about Pacman because you know there's validity to it when the Cowboys just signed Tank Johnson last year when he was bound up by legal problems. So most of you don't address it and try a round about way to get to me because you know it's true that the Cowboys are now the posterboys of risky and questionable moves.

You always call me on something, but never tell me why.. Oh great one, please tell me why I am such a hypocrite? Is it because my team had Vick? Do you even know what I thought of my team over the past season? No you don't. Do you know if I supported Vick? No you don't. Have you seen my conversations with my friends on how disgusted I was by the way Vick and Petrino turned out... Again, you have not.

So what I get here is that based on the fact that I am a Falcons fan, and that Vick used to be a part of this team, that I am a hypocrite for saying something about the Cowboys. Hmmm, so what do you think people outside of Dallas are thinking of when you are talking smack about Vick when your team just signed Tank last year and Pacman now? What goes around comes around, my friend. You taste what you serve. But in my case, I never supported Vick. I never defended Vick like I've seen some of these fans defend the Pacman move. I hoped for prison time. I hoped for a lifetime ban from the NFL for using his money to kill dogs for sport. So, how does that make me a hypocrite when talking about the Cowboys moves? Oh wait, you just look at who I'm a fan of and don't go any deeper than that.

A recurring theme here with you.... I have time to kill, I have time to kill, I have time to kill... Why are you trying to hammer into my head that you have time to kill? I know I said it, but only once was enough. Usually people who say things constantly are the ones trying to cover something so the other doesn't find the truth.

And how do you kill time in the early morning hours? Usually we call it sleeping, or 3rd shift. I have a feeling you went out of your way to see if I wrote, then responded back by breaking down my arguments... Because you care. Awww, how sweet is that? haha

You guys should learn that strong opinions against your team doesn't exactly mean that they think they are better than you... I actually have had no problems with Dallas outside of the bossy fans and the moves made as of late. That's the extent of it, and even the talk about the moves brings in the bossy fans. The 2 problems seem to be a package deal on the boards.

Stay and write as long as you like. I'll always give you my thoughts. That's how we deal with it, you know?

I'm not the one debating this.So the 3000 word essays you call posts are just to practice your writing skills? You're a funny guy :) But since it's my post, it's my right to respond to anybody who talks to me.And we all have the right to pass time however we feel.. even if it's simply pointing out errors in other fans logic, if that bothers you so much you shouldn't start controversial threads then get upset when people disagree :)   A recurring theme here with you.... Awww, how sweet is that? hahaLol.. you get so upset about the silliest things. I said it TWICE both times in response to your posts concerning your 'assumptions'.. which you just made yet again concerning my hours. Your 'feeling' is wrong as usual.. my work involves research that sometimes I have to wait for till early morning hours and yes.. I sometimes have time to kill then :) Aren't you the one who got so upset about people 'assuming' things about you? Somewhere up in this post you questioned why I called you a hypocrite.. above is one example.. do you really need all the others? :)

Patyton, open your eyes and your mind... I am not debating as much as I am answering your claims and criticism against me! Does it matter how many words I type? When I answer, I'll make sure I won't leave anything out. 3,000 essays aren't really a flaw.

Again, another "passing time" comment with the same old "don't get upset" crap.. Do you have anything intellegent and not repetitive to say? Oh wait, you're a Cowboy fan. I'll forgive you on that. Again, it doesn't bother me if you'd pay attention here.

If you look at your fellow fan's response, you'd see who the upset one was by reversing the post. It has nothing to do with me as a Falcons fan... If he was smart, he'd stick to the post and try and prove me wrong on that side. But he took the cheap and easy side and looked foolish. Oh well, his problem. My critic to answer. Why be upset about that?

Oh Payton, if your work involves staying late and doing research, I believe you dip into "3rd shift", which I mentioned pretty clearly. And the fact that you were doing research late shows that somewhere you had to go out of your way to respond to me. Keep trying to call me a hypocrite... I am just observant of a Cowboy fan from Texas who writes me at 1:12 a.m, which leads me to believe that he's either in 3rd shift, or dodging out on sleep to write me. I think my 'feeling' was pretty dead on since you told me about your work. I don't make assumptions. Tie that in with my "Usually we call it sleeping, or 3rd shift" remark, and you'll see the connection.

Just so you know, for me... I work late and stay up late. I don't kill time late, or else it would be useless to stay awake. I see who writes me, and I'll respond to them.. To me, that's not killing time. That's having fun.

Speaking of fun, I'm out.. Bowling night.

hahaha, a hypocrite.. You're the funny one man.

Patyton, open your eyes and your mind... I am not debating as much as I am answering your claims and criticism against me!And I am merely answering your claims and criticism against all Cowboys fans.. what's the difference? :)
Again, another "passing time" comment with the same old "don't get upset" crap.. Do you have anything intellegent and not repetitive to say?lol are you for real? The 'passing time' comment was AGAIN in response to YOUR statement concerning it.. am I supposed to simply accept what you say no matter how incorrect it is without comment? Apparently that's exactly what you expect :)   As for the intelligent comments.. it's difficult having an intelligent conversation with a brick wall.. having one with you isn't much different so far.. you seem to ignore everything you read and make what you want of it anyway, so what's the point really? ;) The following quote pretty much sums that up...
Oh Payton, if your work involves staying late and doing research, I believe you dip into "3rd shift", which I mentioned pretty clearly. It's amazing how much you can assume all on your own and the proceed to judge someone based on your flawed analysis. I don't in fact work the '3rd' shift.. I don't work any shift at all as I'm a consultant. I don't really need to explain anything but since it seems so important to you what I do with my time I'll humor you :) My research involves active work.. and then waiting for responses at times... during this time I check various other things online that interest me. I check all the recent posts on threads and post when I feel like it.. I guess you think that's 'going out of my way to respond to you' but hey if your ego needs it, think what you want.. no skin off my back ;)

You're right, it's not fun having a conversation with a brick wall, but I talk to you people anyways. I never said I was perfect, but you all make me out to be just so you can have an excuse to tear me down (or at least try to). I answered my critics by telling them my stance on the issues of my team, even though this post was never about that. You are one of the 2-3 people who have actually answered my claims against the move for Pacman. The difference here is that I never started anything with the fans by shooting personal attacks. I still haven't.. Only their status as actual fans after they come after me with a bogus and irrelevant argument. And you are just one of those people, Payton. Bogus, and irrelevant.

Besides the point of us debating the passing time issue here, although I know there's an extent to which you care or else you'd be killing time somewhere else. The fact that it pops up into your head has to tell you that your agenda has this conversation etched in there. And if you really didn't care, you wouldn't be here to begin with. But let's go back and see what was said:

"it's just a way to pass the time and at times mildly amusing :)"

This was a response from you to my post here on page 7.. A post that said nothing about you caring in it, or anything that concerned you and your amazing ability to kill time off. Go back and read it. Maybe you'll see that I'm not the one ignoring.

If you want ignorance... Look at the title, and look at the subject of the topic.. Now look where the discussion is now because you Cowboy fans like to forget things. We're on a totally different (and useless) post now because you guys can't get over the fact that someone said "Penal League Team." Oh my God, lock me up right now! Cry babies.

Why would I care what you work as? If you are working, it's either morning-afternoon (1st shift), afternoon-evening (2nd shift), and evening-overnight (3rd shift).. When you say that you are working, I can tell by the time that you fall under the 3rd because it's within the timeframe that is associated with the work. Leave it to you to get technical.

You must think you are sooo superior, mr. consultant... It's not a surprise because most Cowboy fans think they are God's gift to the football world.

I never mentioned that I was perfect.

I never mentioned that I was better.

 I never mentioned anything boastful.

I just mentioned how a questionable move is turning a high profile team into a questionable team... But none of you have the senses to tell me why I'm wrong on that because you're too busy shedding tears in your beers because of my wording! Again, it's typical Dallas Cowboy fanhood. If you make a harsh comment that has some validity about the team, they forget the valid point and focus on what you said about their team as if it were a personal attack. Is that an assumption? No. Why, do you ask? Because I've seen it.

They blew up on me when I asked them why they got Owens after he's made such a mockery of the team... No reasonable answer.. Just a bunch of people sounding like crazy cavemen.. A bunch of noise, but no real legit answers.

As for the comment of me just typing stuff, you're wrong on that. Sorry. The point has stayed the same... I made a comment about a move, you all got offended and called me out on my team and drew the conversation away from the topic. I answered your comments about my team but you all still kept going. I decided to have a little fun and play the "hater" for a post since you all love using that word for non-Cowboy fans. They reacted more, then you came along and acted as the lawyer for the Cowboy side by defending the fans who lashed out at me first. Then you say  I'm ignorant and that you could get a better conversation out of a brick wall.. Maybe that's because you and the brick wall have more in common, but I don't know.

The fact is that we're stuck in stupid banter, calling each other out on who's dumber and more ignorant when the whole idea for the post is to argue about the Pacman Jones move.. You all could have responded in the same mannerism that I made the thread in, using words to back up the Cowboys to solidify their thinking on why they felt it was right. But you didn't. Only Mea205 put up a good conversation, making his case and asking for links if I had a story.. Then you were sain for a moment and gave 2 seconds worth of honest opinion about Pacman and the move, but then resorted to this because you know my argument (as well as anybody elses opposing this move) was a strong one.

If you don't have a good response, just don't respond.. People call out the Falcons all the time, and I tell them "You're right" and move on. It is o.k. to do that every once in a while. But you guys can't with that Texas pride. That's what's going to keep this debate (if you can call it that) going for the next 3 months.
