USC vs. Florida? That one I don't understand. USC lost to Stanford near the end of the season, and UF lost 3 regular season games, one of which was to UGA.
I shouldn't even be bringing this up because it might start the old "Who should have gone?" debate again, but I really can't see a 3-loss UF team going ahead of a 2-loss UGA or LSU team, both of whom were one of UF's three losses.
And that brings us back to the original purpose of this thread. In my opinion, UF should be considerred (at least in pre-season standings) as a less proven team than UGA. They lost 4 games last year and I don't really see how they've improved much this year except that some players have more experience. They lost some pretty key guys.
They'll by no means be a 6-6 team or anything, but they seem to be getting a lot of media hype. I guess it's just because the media is obsessed with Tebow.
By the way, notice that I said "less proven" instead of over-rated. It's kindof hard to say who's over-rated 5 months before anybody plays a game.
