Not a NEW job exactly, it's just that I've only been at this one for 6 months.  And up until now I could look at the Hometown Hotties.  The Bastards.

And don't go pining for the old Dream thread mehaul.  That thing has died since we left.  I couldn't ahve stayed on there after finding out what we did.  That multiple personality / ID person tried to keep it going for a few days, but it was just that one person posting almost everything.  It's sad really.

Do what I do.  Troll around and drop in on threads and make comments.  I've had a few people follow me here.  Unfortunately since I'm never on at night or on weekends it's hard to keep a base but I'm still going to keep posting here.  And we can always talk about our strange love of cheese, monkeys and bubblewrap.

- he's probably pining for the fjords.

- PINING for the FJORDS?!?!  what kind of talk is that?

..........

- He's bloody demised!

- no, no! he's pining!

- he's not pining!  he's passed on!  this parrot is no more!  he has ceased to be!  he's expired and gone to meet his maker!  he's a stiff!  bereft of life, he rests in peace!  if you hadn't nailed him to the perch he'd be pushing up daisies!  his metabolic processes are now history!  he's off the twig!  he's kicked the bucket, shuffled off his mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bloody invisible choir!  THIS IS AN EX-PARROT!!

- Well i'd better replace it then.

sorry but i think of that sketch every time i hear the word "pining".  anyway, i'm not pining for that thread.  i just miss being able to come talk to the same group of people every day about the same stuff.  we have 3 people on this thread.  that's not a group.  we had doc and others besides the schizophrenic maniac.  everybody else on these boards are idiots.  people who argue about that which they know nothing about.  it just ticks me off.  and i was coming here everyday to have fun.  arguing with idiots is not usually fun.

Actually it was only us, the multiple ID idiot and Doc for the longest time.  Beervert and MVKrum and Superhollywood came later.  And I haven't seen anybody but Krum online in a while.

We'll just have to keep at it and get more people to join us.  I plan on just keeping this thing going each day for the hell of it.  We'll find other cool people and rebuild what we THOUGHT we had before.

Oh yeah, Brett Myers SUCKS.

At least Chipper got me a HR and Glavine got me the win.  Too bad they left him in and he gave up a few runs late.  Then the Braves bullpen almost lost the game in the 9th.  Victorino just got under that ball or it was a 3-run game winning Jack.

Hamels against Chuck "I'm Rick" James "B!tch".

mehaul you should check out a thread called "The last member to post on this thread wins".  It's kinda about giving fives, but it's also a fun group of guys.  They all seem to know each other and the thread is almost at 8,000 pages.

Phillies vs. Braves

Damn Brett Myers.  He's really sucking @$$ right now.  I wish we had somebody else we could put in the rotation so that he could go to the pen.  It's frustrating.  There were articles in the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News today.  Ugh, at least Cole Hamels is pitching tonight.  Maybe we can win one.  We need to catch these fraud Marlins!

The Fish will come back to reality soon.  The Phillies are winning and they haven't even gotten much from Rollins, Victorino, Howard or Myers.  We need Pat Gillick to make a deal for a SP and put Myers on the DL.  We have some talent in the minors now.  It's time to use it and make a run for it this year.

I don't want to become the Eagles where being good is good enough for the ownership.  I know the current owners have their budget but maybe Gilick can convince them to go for it.  Don't forget that Gillick is riding off into retirement after this year.  I bet he wants to go out a winner.

I gotta give you credit mehaul, you called it!  Cole Hamels did in fact shut down the Braves offense.  I would have liked to see Chipper Jones in there just to say he shut them down with their best player in the game, but i'll take it either way!

Hamels is a stud, but I still question his heart.  Remember last year when he said he wouldn't pitch on short rest in the playoffs because he had to think about his long-term health.  I assume a veteran with a clue, like Moyer got in his ear after that one.  But then again he also said "I'm going to remember this" when the Phillies "insulted" him by renewing his contract this year for half a million.  Maybe he's just immature.  I hope so because with how bad Myers is this year we need Hamels.

And when will Kris Benson ever come back.  I have a wide variety of pics to use as my avi-tart of his lucious wife Anna Benson.  If you've never seen her before do yourself a favor and google her.  She did a spectacular spread for Maxim or FHM.  And she's crazy.  I like em crazy.

And mehaul, do you have any inside scoop on Chipper?  Is he going to be right back in the lineup?  I'm about to make a deal for a closer with my only healthy 3B backup, Joe Crede.

And what's with the nickname "Chipper" anyway?  That sounds like a wussy frat boy who dates a girl named "Muffy".  Not that there's anything wrong with "Muff".

Chipper will be back in the lineup.  probably tonight but definitely by tomorrow.  he's determined to play through these aches and pains that have plagued him for years.  he is absolutely set on playing 150 games this year.  and i don't see anything short of breaking a leg stopping him.  oh, and he's gonna hit over .350 in the process.  he may even take a serious run at .400.  as somebody who's seen 90% of his games for his entire for his career, i know his tendencies pretty well.  and here are my projections for him at the end of the year:

35-40 homers, 120 RBIs, 120 runs, .375 BA, .450 OBP, .650 SLG, 200 hits, and 75 walks
