Gretzky didn't dive his way to greatness.  Ovechkin doesn't pull that sh*t either; he welcomes the physical play/contact and earns his points.

So what, we're not going to be able to even breath on this guy the entire series?!?  The phantom tripping call on Dubinsky in the 2nd was bad enough, but to make that interference call with only 3:00+ minutes left is unconscionable and soooooo transparent!  Are the tv ratings really going to be that much higher if the Penguins advance and the Rangers go home?!?  I doubt it.

Granted, that call alone didn't lose this game.  Hey Renney, how about a timeout after the Rangers give up a 3 goal lead in the playoffs for only the second time in their entire history?!?  Guess you couldn't tell your team was in a freefall, huh??  It's not like blowing 3 goal leads in the playoffs happens every day.

I'm just sooooooo pissed right now.  That was our game to steal and we blew it.  One thing is for sure, my opinion of Crosby is dropping with each passing season.  Hey Sid, you're really talented...don't be such a pussy!!

i have alot of respect for ovechkin because he plays the game the way its supposed to be played. but crosby just cries and cries and the refs cater to him. i would've liked to play alexander the great that wouldve been a fun series but no we got stuck with sid the B!%$* and the nhl's you cant touch him policy

Do any of you know the rules of hockey?  Anytime a stick is in a players hands, its a penalty.  They could have called 100 penalties everytime Sid (The greatest player in the NHL) had the puck, but they didnt.  The refs did a terrible job and did not call enough against the Butt-Rangers.  Read a rule book or watch hockey before the playoffs so you can talk intelligently on the board.

Regardless, you had a 3-0 lead and blew it, try to blame the refs all you want.

P.S. 1-0

well like the Penguins' post game radio show guy said about u stupid new york losers "either they started following hockey yesterday or they r just plain stupid"

with the 600+ nhl players, i bet 90% or more or those 600+ would have done the same thing crosby did. i mean come on, if someone did that 4 yr team and they called nothing. u would be crying like a little baby.

aint it a little early for u classless fans to be making excuses already???

Funny how about 10-15 years changes things.  We all heard the same s@#t about Jagr when he was with the pens winning scoring titles.  Now its Crosby and I guess now Jagr gets mugged and nothing is ever called.  The most skilled players on each and every team always take the most cheap shots.  Fact is most of them are rarely called because the games would be nothing but 4 on 4s.  If you look at it with an open mind, most of the penalties that are called are good calls but when its against your team the refs suck!  Who knows, if Gomez doesnt make the great defensive play on that call and straka doesnt take the penalty, you possibly have a 2-0 going in on King Henry.  I'd like those chances with Crosby and Hossa.  They have to make that call.  Fortunately for the Rangers, Gomez makes the play but the penalty was called.  If it was say Jagr and Gomes possibly going in on gonchar and crosby pulls down Jagr that call would be made  every time.

Well said jow.

I think the biggest thing that bothers me is the fact that this is all Ranger fans know how to do. They don't know how to blame their own players or congratulate the other team for a loss. They started before the series even started from the top down. I guess if the coach does it and some vets do it, then it is ok. I love the fact that the main person we boo the most was the classiest person on the team before the series. Yeah, I am talking about Jagr. Read up and see how a classy player needs to act. Granted, I hate how he left us and that and he is taking alot of abuse, but he is still one of the best and you have to appreciate what he had to say.
