Normally, the Madden cover boy represents some new trick to the gameplay ( RB for the truck stick, LB for the hitstick, QB for the cone of vision). Perhaps Favre imbodies a new Legend mode where over your player's career, your whole body of work accrues and is put up against the best to ever play in the NFL. Maybe there will be some killer achievement or unlockable when your created QB tops Favre's career stat line. Of course, Madden 2011 will be out by that time, or your thumbs will fall off from throwing for all of 61,655 yards...

Another theory is there will be a new Retirement mode, where your created player rides off into the sunset, does the talk-show circuit, endorses products like jeans and heartburn medicine, maybe makes a stint as a network TV analyst, and raises kids to be drafted into the NFL (Howie Long). In addition, there will be Retirement mode mini-games like golf, fishing, and hunting for you to bide your time until your epic return to the game.

I highly doubt EA has the space for all of this on one disc. Maybe the game on one disc and the Retirement mode on another. Not sure they're going to do it, I'm saying it would be a cool tribute to Favre.

That retirement mode would be cool. I think its a great idea but I doubt they're gonna do it.

Maybe they'll have an "escape the sack " button where you can decide to run, foward toss or heave it. It would be a good idea with the emergence of Tony Romo and his crazy plays and Eli Manning's Super Bowl winning Play. If anything that would be the best tribute

Maybe Brett will come onto the field and cry at the end of the season.
