I love the trade for another pick for virtually nothing.  There was not really a superb player out there for us to take with the 18th pick.  I think the extra 3rd round pick will enable us to select a good OLB and a RB in the 3rd.

I think now the Texans are looking at getting Phillip Merling or Kenny Phillips, both good selections for our 26th ranked defense.

Hell yea. Maybe Antoine Cason at 26. Does anyone know what we got in return yet?

We got a third rounder from my understanding. Not sure if any other late round picks accompanied that. The selection of Duane Brown is a reach as he's projected as a second round pick but we have to keep in mind we don't have a pick in the second round. We needed a tackle as who knows what's going on with Charles Spenser so the pick makes sense. Wish I knew how Dunta Robinson was coming along with rehab.

He was definitely a reach, but not as much as most people seem to think. At the rate OTs were going in this draft, he'd probably have gone within eight or nine picks of us I think.

I heard 3rd and 5th btw, which is pretty good value. I still would have liked Cason, but if this guy turns into our starting LT for the next decade, who am I to complain? I'm definitely hoping we get some good value in the third round though, because we certainly didn't in the 1st.

I like the value that is still up on the board for our 3rd rounders.  2 very possible and good picks are both Xavier Adibi for OLB from VAtech and RB Slaton from WVU.  I'd select Slaton with our first pick because he is a very good player and the best RB left out there still.  He is quick and explosive and can catch the ball out of the backfield.  He is a very good potential player to give us a little, thunder and lightening combo out of the backfield.

We have yet to address the DE but I'm not sure of any good impact guys left, I think that'll have to be left for next years 1st or 2nd round pick, unless ya'll know of someone left.  We also need to look at, besides the OLB and RB mentioned above, SS or FS and perhaps a good DB.  I'd like us to draft Steve Justice if he is still available in the 5th or 6th.

Patrick Ghee could be a 6th round steal at SS, and the best pick for a 6th or 7th round pick would be DE Jeremy Thompson of WFU.  He is well rated and could make an impact, although not super explosive, he will be solid and definitely a run stopper.

Woops, living in the past, Riley Swanson is the CB from WFU that we could get.  I'd give more but, I'm not that big into all out college football, its tough to keep track of em all.
