Sorry, Bell, here's the reality of football at the pro and college level - every coach wants consistency at the QB position, not controversy. If Palko had the hot hand, leadership of the team, time in the system, etc., the coach was not going to have an open competition. THAT's why Joe Flacco left. Not because he was a wuss and couldn't stand competing. He was doomed to be a back-up, and that's reality. Do you think anybody would have been talking about Joe Flacco if he had stayed at Pitt as a back-up? The Tom Brady story only happens once in a blue moon folks.
