With Granderson back and Polanco started to heat up this team will be hard to hold down, but the starting pitching is very worrisome right now....thank you Gallaragga....we need Bonderman and Rogers to follow your act.....

Its nice to see the offense clicking with Placido Polonco and Curtis Granderson hitting doubles and triples again. But we cant win in october by trying to put up softball type scores. We have to get the pitching in order again.

Jeremy Bonderman is garbage. I'm done with him, he's a 2 pitch pitcher, throws at the same velocity and isn't very accurate. I'd be willing to bet he has the highest pitch to inning ratio in the MLB. 111 in 4 2/3 Thursday... eeewww

And Kenny Rogers has been kidnapped and replaced with Frank Tanana.

go Tigers

The great, great Willie Horton.

Dick Mcauliffe

Jim Northrup

Mickey Stanley

And later Aurelio Rodriguez, Hey throw Boog Powell in there for his one handed homer.

1968 Tigers are the most memorable team for me. Loved them.

Agree with this years pitching. Scary right now. Hope they pitch like they know they can.

Gallaraga has been a monster so far. I am an Angels fan and it suck that Polanco's blooper beat us today. I honestly think these are the two best teams in the AL given the Tigers very slow start and the fact that the Angels are going without their #'s 1 & 2 pitchers. The Angels went into Boston and took 2 of 3 and believe me as a life long Angels fan that is almost like a playoff win. The Sox have owned the Angels for 20+ years so it was great to see them clutch up and win a series in Fenway without their two best pitchers.

Tigers fans........you will win your division. You guys have WAY too much talent not to. Just taking time to jell. I think the Tigers and Angels meet in the AL Championship this year. Of course, I have the Angels winning it...but I am just a little biased. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way...except tomorrow....Go Angels!!!!

I don't think you can put either of our teams together and leave out the Sox.  They did kind of do pretty decent in the playoffs last year. I don't know if either of our teams our better than them but I sure hope one of us can beat them in the playoffs cuz i don't like the sox or the Yankees. Anyway, this Gallaraga kid is looking good and if we can get some help from Bonderman and Rogers and the rest of the staff our relief pitching isn't looking as bad as everyone seemed to think it would.

Have to agree.  The relief has been pretty effective, especially Lopez, and Grilli when he doesn't pitch at Comerica.  Gallaraga has done a great job and looks like he will be the guy who steps up this year, like Zach Miner last year when he was called up.  Speaking of Zach, he has done well the last couple outings after a very rough start.  This offense has started to come around and the Tigers are playing like we expected.  TIgers will be in it to the end now, because no lead  is safe with the way these guys are swinging the bats.  Way to turn it around after the horrible hitting approach you guys were taking to start the year, Tigers!
