They had a very good Day 1. Felix Jones, RB (Arkansas) is the perfect compliment to Marion Barber. Jones is a roadrunner. Mike Jenkins, CB (South Florida) is a cover CB with good hands and decent size. Martellus Bennett, TE (Texas A&M) makes sense because they trade Fasano to Miami and like running two TE sets. But I would have liked to see them trade up to get one of the big WR's like Sweed or Kelly. That would have made Day 1 special.

I agree about your comments. I understand that Bennett might have "freak" size as a TE and the need to replace Fasano (who I never liked anyway).

Although I dont hate the pick I feel like JJ tries to emulate the draft success of Jimmy Johnson. I think in the long run your 2nd round pick should have long term impact for your team. I highly doubt Bennett will have tangible long term impact for the Cowboys at TE given they have a stud in Witten. They should have gone WR!!!!!!!

Day 2 has been horrible so far.  What are the Cowboys doing trading away all of their picks? They have so many needs to address.

Now the 'Boys have traded what was a third round pick into a fourth round pick and then traded all the way out of this draft for a third round pick next year... This seems to be trading just for the sake of trading!

The Cowboys needed to draft a wide receiver. They should have drafted either Earl Doucet from LSU or Mario Manningham from Michigan. I don't know why we traded all of our late round draft pick. I think that it was a stupid mistake. We needed another wide receiver to take the place of Terry Glenn.

I really did like the 1st round pick of Felix Jones and Mike Jenkins. We really needed another solid running back to backup Marion Barber. Felix Jones and Marion Barber are going to be a great running back duo. Mike Jenkins i think will be a great asset to the cornerback position.
