I think this is a cool pick.  Steelers always find things to do with athletic quarterbacks (Randle El, Stewart, Ward).  Dixon is a nice guy to have to keep the defense on its toes.

I think the idea here is to groom Ben's backup of the future because Charlie is getting up there. I liked St Pierre to be that backup but I think the Steelers wanted someone to Ben's style to be a backup. Dixon is that guy.

Well the Steelers kinda got spoiled and screwed at the same time by teams ahead of them. There wasn't a first round lineman left when we took Mendenhall, and I wouldn't have passed on Mendenhall if Branden Albert were still there. In the second round Sweed was just too highly rated to pass on (even if I hated it) Now we're basically drafting for depth and we'll see what Kemoetu can do for a year.

Did we just draft another slash?  I like the pick and all of the others the Steelers made.  I guess they feel the OL is going to be ok.

I like this pick too - we haven't had this type of player since Randle El left - this guy can beat you with his arm or his feet.  Remember...he was a favorite to win the heisman before getting hurt.

I'm an Oregon fan as well, and love Dixon.  I just think this was a little too early for him.  We have more pressing needs.  Interesting to see what they do with Zabransky now if they plan on Dixon being a QB.

Dixon's a great athlete.  Could use him in all sorts of cool ways, but mostly it's good to see that we'll have depth at QB again.

Dixon should have been our second pick in the 6th round not or 5th pick.

I really like Dennis Dixon, he is just a winner. He could easily play in a slash type role for us. He could bring back the excitement of the Randel El plays. Oregon went from a national title contender to a pretender when he got hurt. He was carrying that team.
