I've tried to post this a couple times, but I think the server is severely challenged
Well the clock has stopped for the AFC North. Now the Starter Sportswear is being moving to the shleves for your favorite player. Do you have you Beau Bell jersey yet? While things are still fresh in you mind, how would you rank the draft within the AFC North?
Browns: #1 Brady Quinn, #2 Corey Williams, #3 Shaun Rogers, #4 Beau Bell & Martin Rucker, #6 Ahtyba Rubin & Paul Hubbard, #7 Alex Hall
Bengals: #1 Keith Rivers, #2 Jerome Simpson, #3 Pat Sims & Andre Caldwell, #4 Anthony Collins, #5 Jason Shirley, #6 Corey Lynch & Matt Sherry, #7 Angelo Craig & Mario Urrutia
Steelers: #1 Rashard Mendenhall, #2 Limas Sweed, #3 Bruce Davis, #4 Tony Hills, #5 Dennis Dixon, #6 Mike Humpal & Ryan Mundy
Ravens: #1 Joe Flacco, #Ray Rice, #3 Tavares Gooden, #3 Tom Zbikiowski & Oniel Cousins, #4 Marcus Smith & David Hale, #6 Haruki Nakamura, #7 Justin Harper & Patrick Allen
My opinion is:
#1 Borwns: Quinn is better than any QB this year, Williams & Rogers (enuf's been said), Bell (IMO the #1 ILB in the draft and can opt to OLB as well), Rucker (#1 TE statitically in the NCAA), Rubin is a 3rd rounder using a 6th pick (could see playing time before mid-season), the rest is a bonus
#2 Bengals: They addressed the front 7 (thankfully no S.Ellis) with Rivers, Sims Shirley and Craig (sorry richyett) also they got Simpson, Caldwell and the other Super Mario to adress Henry and the Holdout. Collins could press for a starting job, but certainly will make the cut.
#3 Steelers: Mendenhall was not a need, but will make a good 1-2 and eventually will make Parker dispensible down the road. Ben got his redzone target in Sweed and I believe Davis will see playing time this year, but thankfully they still have O-line challenges. Hills helps but only for depth.
#4 Ravens: Ravens were litterally up and down.. I'm not sure they had their strategy well thought out. The players that they picked were good, but does anyone see any of these as starters this season? C'mon be honest. And what's with two RBs (Rice and Patrick) in addition to McGahee? (sorry MDfaninWV).
