That is becuase Dayton Moore nows what he is doing

for Carl Peterson

He should run a 8-10 year old football team...then he would not have to worry about trading players off

LOL-

FYI, GOO, we did not draft 2 RB's

CBS is wrong yet again. DeJaun Morgan is a safety not a running back.

...and why would we be better off drafting yet another QB this year? We already have 2 young ones and a veteran with one year left on his contract. Definately not a position of immediate need.

You'll most likely get your wish next year when we actually need a QB.

I think if Croyle doesn't prove himself this season (not that we made it any easier with this draft) we will be lookign to a veteran qb or trading for Brady Quinn.  The next regime and Chief fans will not have the patience to go through another development project.

An A the first day and a C the second. Where are the offensive linemen the team needs so badly? Maybe they're gonna convert somebody? That has been done. WR Franklin at the 105th pick is a hope. He has a documented learning disability and will have a real problem learning the playbook this year. He will be a project and will take time. No immediate help at WR. The Chiefs need help everywhere as soon as possible. Especially at offensive line. They made some good picks. They didn't do what they said they would do. Get offensive linemen. But I sure hope they get better. I don't want the games blacked out. Peace all and GO Chiefs!

Wow SteveDeberg....I'm truely amazed that you can be so dissappointed after what happened on day one in this draft.

In my opinion, I give this draft an A....it would've been an easy A+ from me if we would've picked up another lineman or two but I'm not as dissappointed with the third round as some of you are.  I LOVE the idea of going after J. Charles....we now have a punishing RB in Larry and then a speed guy in Charles.....not to mention Kolby Smith too.

I also liked how they went after addressing our problems in the secondary.  Flowers is obviously going to make us better and Morgan and Carr will give us much needed depth.

Going after some depth at WR should payoff for us also.  Personally, I think Webb is only going to improve as time goes on so with Bowe, Franklin, and Webb....not only do we have a lot of potential there.....we got YOUNG WR's again!

The only pick that really left me confused was the last TE pick.  At the same time, I'm going to see how that pick actually plays out.  Like some other members previously mentioned, I wouldn't be surprised to see one of these guys get converted into another position on the line....

One things for sure after this draft....this upcoming season just got a lot more interesting for me.  I'm not expecting the Chiefs to be dominant or anything like that....I'm just looking forward to seeing a YOUNG Chiefs team get better and they came along way to that goal this weekend.  No way you can give them anything less then an A in my opinion.

I give them an A, it would of been an A+ but they didn't get a 3rd O-Lineman for depth or didn't address any competition for DE Turk McBride at the Left Defensive End spot. All Day 1 picks will be starters.

RB Jamaal Charles is a great change of pace back, complementing Larry Johnson

TE Brad Cottam is a pick for 2 years from now when Tony Gonzalez will start to decline.

S/CB DaJuan Morgan will help with depth at the Safety spot after Greg Wesley is traded or released next season. And he was the hardest hitting safety in the draft.

WR Wil Franklin is a #3 Receiver at best. He's another Samie Parker.

CB Brandon Carr add's depth to a very average but good young DB corp.

G Barry Richardson is a huge addition to  our line. He will start, and open up running lanes.

RS Kevin Robinson was a great "Luxury" pick, he and B.J. Sams gives us 2 great threats on special teams.

TE Michael Merritt is only run-blocking TE who's great in option and screen plays (Replaces Jason Dunn nicely).

I see us going either 6-10. With another great draft next year...we will win the AFC West !!

I'm on the same page as markstaff....I think KC definitely deserevs an A for Day 1 of the draft. The first and second round could not have gone any better for KC. I'm a little confused on some of the picks made today though....The safety and TE picks were stretches for me. All in all though, I'm happy with the draft. I would give the Chiefs a B+ or an A-....I guess we'll know whether it was a success or not in about 2-3 years!!
