this has been bugging me for a long time, so i thought i'd submit it to all of you for your feedback.

if a pitcher commits an error, i submit to you that all runs scored on and after that particular play , involving batters he permitted to reach base, should be considered EARNED. my reasoning...since the PITCHER commited the ERROR, he should be penalized directly...his e.r.a. should reflect those runs scored on that play.

call me crazy,but please tell me what you think.

i thought of this today when Josh Beckett spoiled his 14k gem today with a throwing error to first base.
