Hey Nationals fans, let's get over the "you crimped our market" or the "you keep our team from getting fans" and start supporting both teams if we live in the area!

Sure, we can be interleague rivals, and it's fun.  Since both teams struggle with attendance, why don't we all go to as many head-to-head games in both cities as we can?  The train gets you from one to the other pretty quick.  The Orioles have about the best ballpark in baseball, and the nats have a shiny new one, and it sucks to see them both empty!

Commiserating on futility and hoping for the future of our two teams in a same boat should unite rather than divide.  Go O's!  Go Nats!*

VERY WELL STATED SIR!!!!!

I live in both areas and grew up loving the Orioles. Now, I'm a Nationals fan and continue to support the Orioles. Although I will cheer hard against the Orioles in any H2H games.

Well said...

However, the attendences from this past weekend (4/25 - 4/27)

Nats 35k in a 41k stadium

Orioles 41k in a 48k stadium

Those numbers may not be sellouts, but they are certainly better than half the other teams in the league.

Work night games will hardly ever sell out unless its a Yankee, Mets or Red Sox game.

I have always had a soft spot for the Orioles (I think because as a kid I thought it was a cool name??? lol) and think its sad how far from grace they have fallen... good luck on getting back to the playoffs.

Go Nats.

Actually, as an update, I'm going to see the Nationals take on the Pirates on Thursday.  I have an old Pirates hat from when I lived in Pittsburgh, but Perhaps I'll go neutral with the O's cap instead.
