Ok, so the basketball board has gotten really boring lately sense the season has ended.

I was just wandering if you guys think Calathes can dunk?  At 6'6" I know he has the capability to do it but just don't know why he doesn't.  He had so many chances to do it this year but just never did.  He would be on a break away all by himself and I was thinking OH BOY HERE IT COMES......and then he just lightly lays it in.  I wan't to see him dunk.  Not only does it get the home crowd pumped up but it will also quiet the opposing crowd when playing on the road.

I know this is a retarded post but I'm at work and don't have anything else to do.

Well it's not really a retarded post, especially considering how dead this board is lately. I've noticed the same thing, but never really thought much about it till you just mentioned it. At 6'6" he has to be able to dunk it you would think. I don't know why he never does. I know I would if I were him.

I didn't think Hodge could dunk until I saw it this year.

Come to think of it I've never seen Calathes dunk.  I'm going to stake out the nearest Dinky Donuts, or Krispy Kreme and see if he does.

Great post, ive never really thought about it, until you brought it up.  He can do everything else; he should be able to do that.

Go Gators!!

yeah its dead but what do you want - its almost summer!

calathes non-slams?
on a breakaway or in traffic, there are a lot of ways to get hurt slammin the ball.
esp if a player is jumping up over their normal vertical leap and leaving themselves exposed.

one undercut, stupid foul or a bad landing could end your career so I think he may just be making a judgment that an easy 2 pts is better.

He's white. He probabally can't dunk. ha. I don't know. If Hodge and Nate Robinson can dunk, surely, a 6'6 guy can.
