Avery Johnson was a genius only about 11/2 years ago.

Amazing how "genius" becomes dunce in so short a time.

Pat Riley was not the first and Avery JOhnson will not be the last.

When Skiles came and rescued the debacle that was the Bulls they loved him.

B ut the players tire early and easily. A product of the "no time like yesterday"

approach to life in the 2000s,

Charles Barkeley noted that Amarie Stoudamarie "gets bored" if he

doesn't get the ball A LOT. Wow. Boredom encroaching on

the pro basketball court, even in the playoffs, even when his

team is getting beaten and out hustled and out driven by little

guys like Tony Parker and guys who make 1/10 of his salary like

Kurt Thomas.

Welcome to life as we.......know it. In sport as in society.

How long before the Suns coach is fired for not being able

to progress beyond the Spurs due to an overaged, but one who tried,

Shaq and a point guard, who always tries, but is STARTING to show the

ravages of.......dare I say..........age.

Well, at least we get to see the future when Tony P vs Chris P

is on next. Should be something. Set your tv to, ah, blurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

The league has changed. The newer players don't have much respect for coashes now because they are all about themselves and their image. Past players like Jordan, Pippen, Ewing, Reggie Miller, Barkley, Olajuwon, even up to the era of Mourning, Glenn Robinson, Shaq, Kidd, Cassell, Ray Allen, Allen Iverson was more about the game and winning then just looking good, getting commercials and some show time in the playoffs when they exit early.
