14 team keeper league -  H2H format

Trade would be:

Matt Holliday  and Tim Hudson

         for

Curtis Granderson and Carlos Zambrano

What side would you want?

While Holliday may be the best overall player in that trade, I would rather have Granderson and Zambrano, since that side has the best pitcher and Granderson is still a good outfielder.

I agree, Zambrano looks great now that he's finally rid of Barrett and the contract distraction from last year.  If the NL weren't stacked with ridiculous pitchers like Webb, Peavy and Santana I'd say he had a good chance at a cy young.  As for Granderson, the lineup around him is even better this year with the additions of Cabrera and Renteria, he should easily be able to repeat that level of production this season (at least stay on that pace the rest of the way).  On the other hand, Holliday is the top OF in fantasy, but I think a .340 average and 137 RBI would be very difficult to repeat on its own.  And with Tulowitzki out half the season and Hawpe struggling, that lineup doesn't look all that threatening.

Zambrano is a much bigger improvement over Hudson that Holliday is over Granderson.  I normally wouldn't think he'd take that deal.  But a lot of players overpay for top 10 guys, and its seems like there is a bias against Zambrano in a lot of fantasy circles.
