I've noticed that there are a lot of out of state fans on the message board.  My question is what state do you live in now and have you ever lived in Pittsburgh (or nearby).  There are always Steeler fans at away games.  Some of them travel with the team but I think a lot of them are originally from Pittsburgh but have moved away for employment reasons.

For those ex-Pittsburghers would you like me to send you a care package of pop, Klondike's, Isaly's chipped ham, pierogies, and Primanti sandwichs.

Mano-you win the out of country award.

I'll take a case of IC for my prize!!!

I've never lived in Pittsburgh, but it feels like home whenever I'm there for a game.

There are a ton of Steeler fans outside of PA.  Look at all the Steeler bars in different states.  During the super bowl year I received an email that had pictures of people with terrible towels at different locations around the world.  Some were the Great wall of China, Big Ben (the clock not Roethlisberger), our troops in Iraq, Grand Canyon.  If I find the web site I'll put a link on the message board.  If anyone has the link can you please post it.  Thanks.

I live in Winston-Salem, NC.  I originally was born in Pittsburgh, Norhside, and my parents moved to Cranberry Township where I went to school in Ambridge.  I moved down here in 1996.  I try to go to the Panthers games, especially when the Steelers play down here, but when I get a chance I go home.  My family still lives in Pittsburgh, and I travel home often.

I have lived in Charlotte, then Atlanta, now back in Charlotte. Those fans that you see at the away games are part of Steeler nation my fried. Steeler fans are everywhere. In Charlotte alone, there are 3 bars that display "Home of the Steelers" on their building. One bar even displays it above and in bigger letters than the name of the bar itself. In Atlanta, everywhere you go, there are people wearing Steeler gear, driving cars with Steeler plates or stickers, etc. I went to the Steeler/Falcon game a couple of years ago...the one we lost in OT, when the Vick to Crumpler train was steamrolling us. Anyway, there were literally(not a word of a lie) 3 Steeler fans to every Falcon fan at that game. When they announced our team before the game, it was Terrible Towell mania. The coolest part was when they announced the Falcons. Every Steeler fan held their towell up, spreading it wide, and was completely silent. Could have heard a pin drop in the Georgia Dome. It was the most unbelievable feeling...

Born in North Central WV and a Steelers/Pens/Bucco fan for life!!!!

I live in OH. I am from the Hazelwood area of Pittsburgh. Though I am not that far from Pittsburgh, it seems like a different world. It's not the same. I'm used to walking downtown and seeing Pittsburgh attire. Here there are Pittsburgh attire; along with Cleveland and Ohio State attire. I come to Pittsburgh every weekend and I just love going through the strip. No matter where I am, I bleed black and gold.

I'm in Seattle. Grew up in Nebraska. Lived in Pittsburgh (Sewickley) for two years (2005-2006). Been a Steelers fan since I was old enough to know what football was. Those were the Steel Curtain days, but I stayed with the team through those lean years in the late 80s.

For my package, I'm with Mano on the IC. And you forgot to mention the ubiquitous Big Fish sandwich. I'm also partial to Peppi's so send me a "Big Heath."
