Question is simple; if your mangini, who is the week 1 starter?
I honestly think they have given up on clemens.....they seem to be building a ball control team.....a very west coast style, strong TE (keller)....position WRs......strong RB..and huge OL.............and are building up a very nice defense.......all that leads me to believe Chad is going to start week one........i feel if they made a trade for a Roy Williams, or Johson or made a move for a WR in the draft to go long........they'd start kellen....but i just feel with the team chad is our best bet...............and yes, i know chad can't even throw a 15-20 yrd out...but i see tons of screens, slants, check downs........and that's chad.
My vote is chad....whats yours?

Personally, I think it's going to be Chad. We invested all this money into getting two o-lineman to give our QB more than three seconds of time to throw the ball, and also to open up holes for our RB's. Chad is a great play action QB who knows when to and when not to throw the ball. If we can get Jones and Washington picking up 4-5 yards a carry, then we will be able to use Chad's accr. to pick apart the d.
Clemens got thrown into a bad situation last year, but he got some experience which is great. Let him sit another year and learn some more from Chad. Clemens tried to force a lot of balls last year, when check up men were open.
Start Chad and let him win/lose the job.

It's just my thought that the Jets are going to commit to giving Clemmens every chance to succeed we possibly can, we have improved our line tremendously, when you factor in Tony Richardson, Bubba Franks, plus our picking up two more big solid bruising full backs who can also learn to block and hopefully punch it through on the goal line. Even though Baker has never been known for his blocking he is an average tight end in most catagories what Dustin brings that Baker can't do is the speed and the better hands and that he can line up from any receiver slot on the field, even using him to pull in the LB's and safeties and sending Baker on a sideline route 10 - 15 yrds deep, he then has accomplished what he is also there for, to constantly make sure that the defense can't possibly cover both of them and then we end up throwing a screen to Leon both tight ends end up blocking downfield while Leon runs the opposite sideline. What I'm saying is that we have so many new weapons and ways to use them, but that Clemmens must be our starter because we want to test our deep threats play action effectiveness. We must learn to have some patience, let our offense find their way into their own rythyms, I'm counting on our offensive line truly becoming much ,much better and that we may just find some young hogs who take everyone by surprise, I like both Bender and Garner to become multi position situational players, Callahan is going to have to figure out these two best usage and would love to see Garner really let that monster in him loose and pancake some defensive stars who think they can just get through him, and have already madea great defensive play in their minds only to find themselves flat on their backs and Thomas Jones or any one of our offensive playmakers holding the rock up in the end zone, Can we do it? Damn right we can, I have the faith that we are getting much better at making the parts fit togethr into cohesive units on defense and offense.

I really believe we have to give Kellen a chance with a better offensive line. Pennington is a class act, but I believe he has taken our team as far as he can...In all of the years Pennington has been our starter, we never have an explosive offense and I'm tired of seeing a boring offense. Even in Chad's 2006 comeback season, let's be real, he through 17 td's against 16 interceptions. That is mediocre at best. And if you look back at a lot of the td's, it was Cotchery/Coles just making great individual plays. I wish Chad the best, but if he is our starter we maybe squeak into the playoffs and lose in the first round. Let's at least give Kellen a chance and see what the kid has...
