haha, good point ranger. you're on top of your game. no wonder i didn't remember it at all. i thought it was strange, but i had it in my head that it was the "real" freddy garcia because i remember him being traded to the Phillies a little later, but that was from my other favorite team the White Sox, not the Reds. so it was just a big jumble in my mind. i try to check stuff before i post usually, but i didn't on that one, so i stuck my foot in my mouth. so make that even one less bad trade for the Braves over the last 20 years!
also, the braves traded away a certain kevin brown around 1990, but i knew that one was an "imposter" beforehand. guys having the same name causes problems...especially when they play at the same time. the final point is, the bravos just don't seem to make bad trades.
