So thought this might bring up some interesting flavor text possibly...

Who's your pick for the Biggest Colts Draft Villain of all time??? My choice is Jeff George<---what a waste of money.

STEVE ENTMANN

Quentin Coryatt and him will be linked forever since they went 1 & 2.  I can excuse Emtman because he had injury trouble.

Jeff George is up there for a lot of people but tor me it would have to be John Elway and Cornelius Bennett.  Both refused to play for the Colts and had to be traded.  Many remember Elway but few remember Bennett who eventually came back to the Colts when he was a shell of his former self.

Many remember Elway but few remember Bennett who eventually came back to the Colts when he was a shell of his former self.I remember growing up watching the Bills and Bennett was fast for a DE. One game specifically that I remember watching was when the Colts were playing the Falcons and he playing as a stand up edge rusher on one play. The corner went in on a blitz and Bennett flanked out and covered Andre Rison (another Colts draftee) all the way down field, step for step. I was in such awe when I seen that.

I also agree on the Elway issue as well. That put the Colts between a rock and a hard spot during that draft. They should have just taken Marino LOL.

I remember Rison too.  It is amazing when you think of all of the quality talent the Colts have either drafted or had on their roster over the years.

Even though every body rags on Jeff George if you consider how long he was a legitimate QB in the league, people still remember him from when he was with the Falcons and Raiders.

I am definitely not a very big Elway fan.

Hell now that we have been talking about it and that I have been thinking about it, the Colts drafted decently but for the other teams who took the Colts players and made them better. They definitely had the players back then but just didn't know how to use them, except for Dickerson. He seemed to work but not much else did. So they all left and had prosperous careers elsewhere. I remember when Richard Dent was here as well. He was actually lining up opposite Bennett with the Goose in the middle.

How about Faulk? Had a great few seasons, then went to the Rams for a SB win and his best seasons.

Buy the way, Jeff George was the worse, IMO. I drove 1,000 miles coming home for Christmas one year and scalped a ticket just to watch that guy have an attitude all over the field, fumble on the 20 yard line and not even try to recover. Man did I hate that guy.
