Mario Manningham was BY FAR the biggest STEAL in the WR category of this years draft. The years ahead will prove this out imo, and his skill set is LEAPS ahead of ANY of the WR taken before him!

I say this NOT because I bleed Blue, but because it's a fact. M. Manningham was the #1 rated WR going into this draft last summer, and only "rumors and his lying about his weed infraction" dropped him this late.

Unreal grab (pun intended) for the defending Super Bowl Champions!!!!!!

It doesn't matter NYG how good the kid is if he is suspended.  It's all about the character issue here under Tsar Roger.  Also, as pointed out, his 6 on the wonderlic didn't do him any favors.

The biggest steal at receiver  may end up being Early Doucet.  I know he clocked slow but with his size, hands, and precise route-running (exactlye what this article bemoans about THomas).  And he put up great numbers against SEC backs.

I'll tell you who will be better than either of them (and in fact already is) is the Marque de Colston.  That being said Meachem will be better, or at least will have better numbers, in the pass happy Drew Brees attack versus a more run-oriented Giants offense.

Malcom Kelly is the steal, not Devin Thomas or Stupor Mario...he will be the WR everyone wonders "how could  he have slipped past sooo many team" (a bad 40 time and character issues) but he has the hands&intangibles the other guys dont ...wait in 3 years you will agree...history shows WR is the toughest to judge come draft time but ive seen kelly make catches none of these WR's could and thats what matters, making the big catch...ALL WR's have character issues that shouldnt even be a factor if youre gonna pick a prima donna...know youre picking a baby and pick the baby that can make the big catch, his name is Kelly

Yeah, I was on the same wave length as you at first, eddy. But now I think it is Devin Thomas who will flourish and Malcolm Kelly will underachieve. I don't know, but these two could really develop into a duo that causes nasty coverage problems. Hell, everybody is concentrating on our passing game, lets not forget about Clinton Portis back there. With those receivers, good luck stacking 8 in the box. As long as our o-line gets healthy, meaning Jon Jansen actually play in 5 games, and our defense maintains, we will be pretty sick. I can't wait for the season to start. Zorn seems to already be going in the right direction. And he's not messing around, either, I read a report that said he's already cracked down on Fred Smoot and Shawn Springs for messing around. And another about the things he is doing for the quarterbacks.

Don't sleep on Colt Brennan either. If JC can't step up in the next few seasons, I wouldnt be shocked if CB stepped in at quarterback. The dude did throw for like 14k yards, who cares about the pass happy system he was in, that's still nuts. I don't really see Mario Manningham doing much, he just sounds like the kind of guy with no work ethic. And who better to have a role model for work ethic than Plaxico Burress! I know he couldnt practice last year, but I've heard lots of stuff about his lack of effort in practices even when he is fully healthy. I'm still pumped to see how the NFC east unfolds this year, hopefully the skins will be on top, but I'd be very satisfied just breaking at 8-8.
