I told you Phillies fans that Myers and Kendrick would disappoint you.  Now Myers and Kendrick velocity is the same.  All stick and no pitch teams usually fade to black.  My Los Mets can lose Pedro and still motor along.  How long can the Phillies endure Myers and Kendrick stinking the join up? How far along is Anna Benson away from joining the Phillies? All you Phillies fans have gotten a taste how sad a staff you have.  Hamels have to go up against the aces of other teams making him that tough luck loser.

I'm not running and plan to respond all year and will detail how the Phillies will get pile driven this yr.  Even with clueless Willie running the Mets, I'll take the Mets over Moyer, Hamels, and the rest of the trash you call a pitching rotation.  HAHAHAHA

If I'm wrong and Kendrick and Myers are pitching even decent in your opinion, please let me know in what aspects.  I love a good chuckle.

What place are the Phillies in? Cause I think were sputtering right along with a sub-par Myers(who will pick it up) and Kendrick (who doesn't have great stuff) oh yea and that shortstop we have, I think he did something last year.... 3 letters i can't remember, but he hasnt played either. And what place are they in? I'm not sure, please fill me in. Mets are old and not that good. Reyes is the next Scott Podsednik

First of all you can't spell the players name right ! The Mets starting pitching staff is terrible and the bullpen is the worst in the NL east . I just watched the Arizona D- Backs through up a ten spot on them today. Go Phillies !

KING O FNY,

We want you to feel at home.  So, here are some reminders of home from The Mets' board:

The players need to be held accountable. They make millions. If Reyes, Wright and Beltran don't perform then the Mets simply won't win.

Fans have booed Johan Santana! They boo Willie Randolph!  They boo Carlos Delgado, because he fails most every night; and on the rare occasions Delgado's performance merits applause, such as Sunday's two-homer game, he understandably declines the curtain call.

They boo Aaron Heilman as if he were pro wrestling's biggest heel.

For the moment, only Shea's grounds crew is spared.

Booing is one of the few ways for fans to voice their displeasure and be heard. But this booing is different. It's as if fans come to games waiting for the slightest provocation to discharge pent-up venom and stingers.

It's as if The Collapse happened yesterday, though the 2008 season is now 27 games old. Mets fans are still angry, still lugging a chip as large as the Unisphere on their shoulder. They don't like their team's middling start and have made this abundantly clear.

The Collapse is a leading candidate for worst baseball free fall ever. But some Mets fans consider it a star-crossed example of how unlucky a lot they are. Well, guess what? Many fans wish to "suffer" as the Mets' have.

The Mets have owed the D-Backs, but and I hate to write this, I think we're going to be sweept.

Rob - I'm highly disappointed in this team, and even more so in the fan base that has been Booing the team.  To me our defense has been killing us!

the way the Mets are playing they are best off just rebuilding the team... trade anyone over the age of 33 and get young players in return... im giving up on them as a fan.... i cant take it anymore... too long have they been a disapointment... this team has 10 times the talent the 2000 team had and they are playin like horse scat...

i cant take it...

omar better just start rebuilding right now before this season turns into another disapointment...

Are you kidding me? Yeah, they aren't pitching well, none of the starters are. AND their superstar 1st baseman is gagging. AND the NL MVP has been out 3 weeks. AND they were without Shane Victorino for 2 weeks. AND.....they are still in 1st. AND you have the audacity to post a message like that. With the Mets talent, we ought to be up 5 or 6 games right now, which incidentally would take the Phils about 8 days to make up. You are the epitomy of an ignorant homer, and you embarrass me as a Met fan.

The Phillies pitching staff is not underperforming, they are pitching to their progressive track record.  Adam Eaton is actually pitching better than expected.  No one doubted that the Phillies can swing the bat, but everyone questioned their ability to throw the ball.  Here’s a portion of what I wrote on a March 29 post.

“My favorite Phillies player, Mr. Adam Eaton will give up many bombs.  But you'll say he's the best 5th starter.  We lose Alou and Angel Pagan steps up.  Who will step up once Moyer, Eaton, and Kendrick tank.  NOBODY.”

The Phillies will pound the ball all year.  They don’t really have many holes in their lineup.  In any post, I’ve never bashed their bats.  But what I do harp on is their mediocre pitching staff.  And for that I take back nothing.  The Mets were not going to run away so fast.  Lets let a couple more months go by and see how confident you Phillies fans are.  Mets fans, like myself, are naturally disappointed once a few things go wrong.  But most Mets fans are confident that the Mets will win it in the end.

And I will not go so far as to say our abundance of talent over the Phillies using that as reason to why we should be walking away with this division on May 4.  In the lineup category, position by position, the Phillies are beast.  But the starters, talent wise is no comparison.  89mph junk comes out the arms of all Phillies starters except Hamels.  Playing in that sandbox and hitting HRs is great for the fans, but in the end, LOS Mets will prevail.  It is easy to say things like that when you are 10 – 15 games ahead.  A real Mets fans can make a statement when the race is still tight on May 4 opposed to ones like Leputois, whom only comes outside when the Sun is up.  People like that get on rollercoasters always bracing themselves, but never enjoy the ride.

And oh yeah, I spelled Myers as Meyers referring to “Oscar Meyers” because they both BITE.  I knew I would get some of you Phillies fans to "BITE" on that one.  HAHA.

I’ve comeback to defend that statement I made.   I also called Myers the Most over-hyped 4.50 ERA pitcher in the game posing as a number 2 starter.  I also stated that your number 2 starter can at best be our number 5 starter. With Pedro out, Myer can now move up to our number 4 starter spot.
