Nothing like delusional LSU fans. The entertainment value of watching you two is absolutely better than anything on TV right now. Like I said, just because you hate Saban doesnt mean you have to fear him beating you down in 5 years when he is still at Bama.

NG, I didn't respond to your post about officials for two reasons:
1) your point is obvious, of course the only opinion that really matters is the refs, duh ! and
2) you dodged my question: So in YOUR opinion, the call in the 2006 LSUAub game when Doucet is clearly assaulted long before the ball gets there is not a "real bad call"?

In MY opinion, the problem surround Hester's TD last season was not a bad call because it was procedural. The result was actually TRUE !!!
So what's YOUR opinion, NG. It's not like you don't have any opinions around here ... LOL

Whoa, W.E.Ray !!! I think you switched games on me there ... I thought we were talking about 2006 at your place (7-3, Aub), right?
So what about Hester's TD and the refs picking up a flag? The only TD Hester has ever scored against Aub was in 2007, so I'm assuming you're talking about that 4thQ dive at the pylon. That WAS a TD. The ball hit the pylon, instant TD. So what happened there re: a flag? Fill me in. Serious, I don't remember a flag on the play.
And that business of, "Had we simply knocked the ball down to end the game it would not have mattered one bit" is sorta silly. There was time left on the clock to kick the winning FG.
But getting back to the original game at issue, you have to admit that the picked up flag on the interference on Doucet over the middle (not to mention the overturn of the 4thD pass completion to Hester earlier) stunk of home cooking ...
My point was, and still remains, that LSU apparently will be the victim no matter what, and Auburn's this evil team that apparently always cheats. LSU fans have never admitted that they could be wrong about their assumption or that they may possibly get home cooking themselves.
Had the score keeper ran the clock like he ran it for the catch there wouldn't have been any time left.
And (how many times have I tried to explain this to LSU fans) the play in '06 was the right call. Sorry. Dumb ref called it pass interference. Had they conferred first they could have gotten the correct call, defensive holding. Instead, the ref through the flag, Tuberville correctly challenged it and it was overturned. You can't change from one call to the other. You can only say that it wasn't pass interference, the call on the field. It's that simple.

So you want to compare a procedural error to a real bad call. According to Tub, the refs weren't supposed to look at replay to determine whether there actually was an illegal formation. But when they did, it turned out there was no illegal formation, which sounds like the flag actually was wrong.
I'm not getting your point. The refs made mistakes both times. You're arguing semantics. By the way, it was an illegal formation. 6 men on the line of scrimmage. It's ok. The better team won the game.
I don't expect you to say the same thing for '06. Even though Auburn was the better team.
