It certainly did put a black eye on the series. It's like everything the team built up is being destroyed (self-inflicted destruction) in less than three periods. That's uncharacteristic of Marvin Williams to do that, especially since he is/was a friend of Rondo. I am disappointed Marvin made such a poor decision given his height advantage on Rondo and his ability to go for the block instead of the flagrant foul. I could cop out and blame it on his youth and inexperience, but that was just bad judgrment.
Losing the ball on the dribble, missed layups, poor rebounding: this is why it is ridiculous to say the Hawks weren't feeling any pressure tonight. Quite fankly, I was tired of reading and hearing about how the Hawks "had nothing to lose." Doc Rivers said it best when he stated "they do have something to lose; the series."
