I don't really pay attention to all that you post so I would not know that.

Refs or no refs, the Wings didn't do enough to win last night.  They made too many mistakes in their own zone.  Doesn't matter, they will come to beat Dallas at The Joe, and the fans can celebrate with them at home.

I'm not one for conspiracy theories, however seeing how the officiating when last night really made me think.

Both of the Conference Finals, going into last night, were 3-0 series.  The last think the NHL wants is two sweeps.  Pittsburgh won its first series 4-0, and Detroit won its 2nd series 4-0.  The more games that series go, the more money the NHL and teams make.  Also when trying to build a fan base and making the NHL have more parity, having two sweeps against the 4 best teams left in the NHL also will not help build a new fan base.

To me, it was very apparent that the refs dictated this game.   Not only with the NO goal on Holmstrom & Datsyuk, but the allowed Erickson goal.  Dallas got away with a number of penalties.  I love how a Dallas player had Stuart's stick under his arm and Stuart look directly at the ref with his hand in the hair waiting for something to be called, but nothing.  Also the pressure that the Datsyuk, Zetterburg, Holmstrom line put o Dallas in the 3rd....how many times to guys need to be held & cross checked before a call is made?  I counted 4 crosschecks (on major one to Holmstrom's Head) and a hold in the corner that was never called.  Amazing the whistles disappeared.

I agree that the Wings came out flat in the 1st, but this would have been a completely different game if the Ref's officiated that right way.

The officiating this whole post season has been a joke.  I agree to some degree with Slavak that the NHL would prefer to not have 2 sweeps in the confrence finals.  I am in the process of watching my Flyers team go down in Flames, but I enjoy watching hockey, the no goal for Detriot last night was a joke, the NHL should be ashamed of their officiating.

I think if they allowed that abvious goal to stand instead of taking it away, Detriot sweeps them.

If that first goal would of counted, Dallas would of been out of it for the rest of the game and yes the series would of been over.

If that first goal would of counted, Dallas would of been out of it for the rest of the game and yes the series would of been over. True, but then the conspiracy theory would have been whack. That first goal should have counted. It was taken away due to history of interference (not just this series) Fortunatley or unfortunatley it is part of hockey. The Stars goal looked as if it shouldn't have counted, but apparently according to the crease rule which only shows up every once in a while says it was legal because the player followed the puck into the crease. Whatever, Stars win!! Good job, even if the Red Wings toned it down so they can win it at home.

OMG everytime a bad call happens some jokers are on this board calling conspiracy... what is it with you people... this isnt the first time a bad call has happened in the playoffs you just happen to be on the other side of this one deal with it and move on to game 5! Has there been a series in this playoffs without knuckleheads saying" the NHL is conspiring against my team". Its a fast sport with human refs like all sports somtimes they get it wrong and somtimes it helps you, as it has in this series, and somtimes it hurts you, as it has in this series.

GO Stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!
