If Davis is an UFA and not resigned by the Warriors, the Bulls Better do everything in their power to get him. The Guy is an absolute beast and would give the Bulls that Star they need.
The Only reason I would be ok to see the bulls pass on this guy is if they are planning on holding out for Lebron in 2010. Seeing as the Guy wants a bigger stage, and Wants to be Micheal Jordon, i could really see him coming to Chicago. The Bulls would probably have to get rid of both Deng and Gordon for Cap room, but thats OK. I know Lebron is really just wishful thinking, so thats why the Bulls better sign Baron Davis

If Lebron goes any where it will be New York . Baron Davis would be an awesome pick up but i dont see that happening either. Why would the Bulls go after Davis when they passed on Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, and Kevin Garnett last year.
I wish they would go after him but Paxson has shown to shy away from signing big time players.

Baron Davis is high on my wish list as well. Maybe a sign and trade of Gordon and our draft pick would be enough to get it done.

With Davis as the starter, i would say yes, the bench. But think about it, Hinrich off the bench paired with Sefolosha at the 2, would be a lock down defensive backcourt that could score some points as well.
Davis, Hughes, Deng, Gooden and Noah could be a decent starting 5.
Hinrich, Sefolosha, Nocioni, Thomas and Gray....not a bad 2nd team.

not bad at all, but you think hinrich would be happy with that? i guess he did come off the bench this season when he came back from injury and did alright. if we had Baron Davis, yeah that'd be sick. but i just don't have much confidence in noah. he isn't very tall but can't play F 'cause he's not an offensive player. i just don't like him as our starting center... that won't change i guess till he proves something and i HOPE that he does

I'd be shocked if LeBron ended up in Chicago. First off, he is boys with Jay-Z and the Jigga man is moving the Nets to Brooklyn. Secondly, the Knicks are positioning themselves to have cap room in 2010. That's why they hired a proven GM in Donnie Walsh. To clean up the mess Isiah made.
As far as Baron Davis goes, I'm torn on aqcuiring him because I think his best years are behind him and he's been a problem in the locker room before. Not saying people can't change given the right situation, but we're talking about a veteran on the back half of his career.

NY can blow all of the smoke they want up Lebron's arse, but he's not going there. That franchise is a disaster and it will take more than just #23 to get it back on track. Lebron is already the biggest star in the league. He doesn't need NY or Chicago or Brooklyn. Then need him. The problem is he isn't from any of those places. He's from Cleveland. Where I assume he will more than likely spend most of his NBA career.
As far as the Bulls acquiring Baron Davis, I give it a thumbs up. He's better than anyone we have on the roster right now. I just don't know what good he'd do us in the long run. Oh, and I read one post concerned about what Hinrich would think about backing up Davis. All I can say to that is, who the hell cares how Kirk feels about it. He sucks thats why we'd like to replace him. If he wants to whine about he can go right ahead. I just wish we didn't owe him so many years and all of that scratch.

i feel ya on kirk suckin lately... i've been really down on him the past few years. he hasn't exactly panned out, maybe a new coach will do the trick? who knows, maybe he's destined to be a bench player but that's not really that bad. we'll see. i'm just waiting for a big name to show up in chi town, be it a coach or a player and no i don't count Ben Wallace

Which, may actually work against Cleveland. There has been the Brooklyn Nets rumors, valid or not. But, for any number of reasons, he may want to leave Cleveland in rear view mirror. Some folks love home. Some folks have wander lust and you are talkin' about the Big Apple. He does not need NY, Chicago, or anywhere else, th | |
