With the draft over and the major roster moves being done for us, i believe, i think it would be cool to see everyone's opinion on what the most interesting training camp battle will be. Im looking forward to seeing the Defensive line get shuffled around. Since Antonio Smith might become a casualty next year(since he will be an UFA unless we reach a deal with him, which i dont see happening) . Also the Cornerback position, if DRC will outperform either one of the starters. Does anyone think DRC will get to be return man? I feel it would be foolish with breaston on the roster.

DRC will start at CB.  Steve Breaston will remain the punt return guy...as long as he remembers NOT to field punts inside the Five.  Calais Campbell will probably play passing downs since he has long arms to block passes.  As long as the Cardinals stay healthy, they should challenge for the Division.

The position that I think that the most interesting battle is the cornerback position.  I can't wait to see how things shape up with Green, Hood, and DRC.  I think that DRC has a good chance to start over Green.  One thing that he has to do is put on some weight.  He is too skinny right now and he will get pushed around by some of the physical receivers.  He has great physical skills but he just needs to work on his technique.  The corners were horrible last year when it came to the pass but I think that they will be much better this year.  Another battle to keep an eye on is the Antrel Rolle and Aaron Fransisco at safety.  Rolle hasn't proven yet that he is capable of playing that position and Fransisco has more experience.  I think that with everyone healthy our defense is going to have a great year.

i hate to disagree with you AzCards_87 but I don't see any way of Antrel Rolle not starting at safety other than injury.  He has such a huge contract and would not move him back to safety on a hunch.  They know how much better he will do at safety and that's why they moved him back there.

Well thats what training camp is all about, the position battles, granted we are relatively solid with our starters i really would like to see Calais Campbell crack the starting rotation. Perhaps when we run a 4-3 he could take an interior lineman position. is anyone planning on going to training camp? ive been going for the passed 13 years.

This competition must be good for the team becuase that mean the players must work harder to keep there job. Whisenhunt has done an outstanding job getting players that can add depth as well as give the team a more competive edge.

I think that there is a good chance that Rolle will start.  I was just saying that he has to be more consistent which is something he hasn't done yet in his career.  He has shown that he can be a playmaker last year with all those interceptions and touchdowns he scored.  I hope he has a great year and gets the job.  I like Rolle I just want to see him step up and be a great player that he is capable of being.

Rolle's problem last year was he got burned way to often. He could cover slower guys in space because he has good closing speed, and he has very good ball skills(you dont intercept 6 passes by accident). Francisco is a very hard hitter but his coverage leaves something to be desired, which is why hes a special teams stud. We dont need two hard hitters anyways, look at Washington a few years back when they had Sean Taylor and Adam Archuleta two high powered hitters who played mediocre coverage. There is still alot of trade buzz from the Eagles and Dallas. does a restructured Sheppard contract and the 2 first round picks ffrom the eagles make a trade possible to cards fans?
