For people who can handle a good opinion, with all the threads ive been reading for the eastern conference finals id like to know why everyone is sayin the pens have the better offense and is more potent. I just wanted to ask why pens fans are saying this for?

HA! Well, I did just run out of toilet paper! These boards have gotten out of control in less than 1 day. I can hardly stand to read half the posts. Not much reasoning in arguements, not that I expected any.
Seriously though, I think it is just the brand names the Penguins have in Crosby, Malkin, and Hossa. Plus, lots of fans (on both sides) are coming out of the dark for the trash talking.

What 18rocks just said plus.......... Cmon we have arguably the 2 best players in the league with bigger offensive names is what us Pens' fans will say. And you Flyer's fans will say something like "look at Umbergers 9 playoff goals" and also............

the only thing id say is our depth thats all. i already know malkin and crosby are 2 of the best players in the league. i just wanted to know why everyone was gettin so technical about all of this. I even seen where someone put that the pens had more scoring depth then the Flyers which isnt true, even tho they have really good depth. My point is if u honestly look at the stats for everyplayer for both teams and add all the points up youll know what team has been doing more scoring, instead of arguing over dumb things. HOwever i do look forward to this series and it will go 6 or 7 games and either team could win. Lookn forward to friday! ;)

Lookin forward to it myself hardhitten. I dont question Philly's ability to score at all seeing to how you beat us 8-2 earlier this season and you did make it to the E.C. finals. I agree that both teams have plenty of depth and is probably why we are facing eachother in the finals. I also am trying to stay away from the series thread because of ignorant fans, but dont mind having classy intelligent talk, hated rival or not. Good luck but GO PENS!

Maybe they'll wear themselves out by Friday and we can expose that thread to some decent conversation.
Yeah right.

Well I guess we have to say that its our Superstars (Briere, Richards, Umberger, Biron) against Pittsburghs (Crosby, Hossa, Malkin) but the Flyers are more phsical and Biron is easily the hotter of the two netminders. The Flyers easily won the season series (yes, I know the Sid the Kid didnt play every game) although it was a physical series; I think that advantage goes to the Fly Guys! Its going to be a great series! Go Flyers!

I agree. the other threads are too retarded to even want to look at. this is definately going to be the best series in the playoffs that we'll ever see. the rivalry between these 2 teams are so heated, it's going to be an all out war. i really can't wait to see it. as far as a prediction, i don't think anyone could possibly predict how this series will go. they are so evenly matched in just about every category. i think it's going to be a long hard fought series and hopefully my Flyers can pull it out. good luck to the pens, and GO FLYERS!!
