I also heard last night in that the Pens are 9-0 when scoring the first goal so far in the playoffs. Along with an 11-1 record overall that's pretty darn impressive!

I have to admit that I am extremely baffled on how this series is going. I was expecting a faster paced game with alot of physical activity. We are seeing this but no where near where my expecations were. Secondly, I have been exteremly concerned of the officiating in the third periods of this series. They seem to not want to call any penalties. This is what I was afraid of when tensions get high, someone is going to get hurt.
I am confused how Umbringer has become a "no factor" this series when he was so hot in the prior two series and was a Penguin Killer all year. Does anyone think he is being nuetralized? Who is matching up against his line from the Penguins?
I honestly believe that the Flyers have had a super year and was never expected to go this far especially when they were on the bubble two games before the season ended. While the penguins on the other hand have taken some large risks for this year to win the cup. They traded away some key players and brought in some rent-a-players to go for it all this year. So I think the Flyer fans should have no reason to hang their heads even if they do lose this series.
Believe it or not, I am rooting for the Flyers in Game 4 for two reasons. One. . .so that the Flyers create some stress to the Pens to better prepare them for Detroit and Two . . .so they can play one more game in Pittsburgh. Good Luck Flyers!!! And no, I am not turning on the Penguins, please no dis.

I am absolutely shocked at how this series has gone. I thought the Pens would win but I also thought it would at least seem more competitive. Flyers are getting a good look at what they need to do in the offseason. They need to get a center to go after Richards and Carter. This way the top line will be Gagne (if he is able), Briere on the right and Richards in the center. That is a great first line. The third center should be someone like Daymond Langkow. He can score some and win's a vast majority of his faceoffs. They also need another mobil D-man. They will have Timmonen-Coburn, Jones-?, Kukkonen-Parent. They should be able to land something with the pieces they have to trade. Knuble, Hatcher, and probably Kapanen. Smith, Modry, and Dowd are gone.
Congrats to the Pens they are an awesome team. Also, thanks to the Pens fans on this thread. I have not even looked at other threads due to the lack of maturity. You guys are a class act. Looking forward to next year.

RabidDog,I think I saw you on Hockey Night In Canada last night, you were crying...LOL
I am joking.
The Flyers played very well in the first five minutes and I really thought they were going to win game three, too bad because it is huge uphill battle now.
What has happened to Daniel Briere is this series,he is minus 2 right now and I don't think he has a shot on net,vs. Pittsburgh.Where did he go because he was OK vs. the Habs.
You never know you might be using those game 6 tickets but the Pens look very good, they are fast, smart and have a great passion for the game.

I heard on the radio that Richards was practicing with Briere and Hartnell today. I understand the shakeup, especially with the way the line has been playing lately, but where does that leave Umberger and Lupul who have been pretty invisible themselves? And honestly, it's Hartnell I would have knocked off that line.

Pez,I agree,The pens speed has got the Flyers all rattled and the Check,Check,Check has got them frustrated.A shakeup is good for the Flyers, afterall they might be golfing Friday Morning.
Great Avatar, did you do that in "Photoshop"...well done.

There's no crying in Hockey Larry but have to admit the tribute to the fallen police officer was pretty touching last night! Nicely done by the Flyers organization!
You would need a microscope to see me on TV as I sit 3 rows down from the roof but still love being there! I was interviewed prior to a playoff game once by the local news. It was against the Pens and I think it was Mario's last game but I don't remember for sure.
It's been a lot of fun this year and would be great to see a game 6 but realistically I don't see it happening. The Pens are a great team and the Flyers have nothing to be ashamed of in losing this series. I'd still like to see the Flyers at least avoid the sweep!
Let's Go Flyers!
