I said many times - the value ratings really don't add anything, just take a lot of resources from you guys and stir up controversy. Most of us only notice that they aren't right. As you can see from this thread, the value rating of most regulars - the ones that are usually regarded the highest in the community - tends to be low. So what does that say? It says that the value ratings are a waste of energy.
There is no way to get it right. The most ratings received are on threads with special interest and/or chats (song game, prayers, bar and grill). People on this board for instance rarely rate anything unless it is funny. People simply don't rate based on content. That works for product reviews, but not on a message board where you can talk about anything. My sport related posts almost never receive a rating, for instance.
I do like to see the ratings on my posts, just to see what people think. But maybe it should be left out of our overall rating. It is a pretty meaningless number.
