Sorry britton, I was embroiled in the QB situation.
Was it you that said that if Ben had his choice he'd take K2 over Heath? I remember wanting to reply to that comment but not getting the chance. I keep seeing the receiving stats for K2 vs. Heath as evidence of K2 being a better receiver, and therefore, TE. Not sure that I agree with that being the key piece of evidence in determining whether or not he is a better football player than Heath Miller. They are not Wide Receivers. While receiving is certainly a part of their job, it is not the only part of their job. Every team uses its TEs in different ways. I don't think that the Steelers would have ever drafted K2 in the first place because he doesn't fit the mold of a Steelers TE. The Steelers offensive system requires the TE to be a blocker first and a receiver second. The fact that Heath was capable of being both of those guys equally was the reason he was the Steelers first round pick in 2005. Heath doesn't have the speed of K2, but he did outrun a DB to the endzone on an 85 yard touchdown in 2006. To say that he can't stretch the field is untrue. He regularly does just that. He doesn't get split wide like K2, or some of the other pass catching TEs in the league. He makes all of his plays from the LoS or sometimes from the backfield as an H-Back. He's a 3 down, hard nosed, tough as nails TE with great hands and good speed. He is a Steelers TE and I wouldn't be so sure that Ben would take K2 over him.
