Hard to narrow it down to one, but all time favorite would have to be LT because he was a game changer and changed football's defensive and offensive landscape.  Defense because he redefined his position and offense because they had to find a way to deal with him.

Favorite moments:  The Catch 42 obviously, Jim Burt hit on Montana in a playoff game and the Gary Reasons hit in a regular-season game against the Bronco's Bobby Humprehy, who went airborne in attempt to break the plane of the goal line. But Reasons also went airborne, putting a massive hit on Humphrey and sending Humphrey's body into a backward helicopter-like spin.

Favorite group of players:  who can beat a LB corp of LT, Harry Carson, Carl Banks, Gary Reasons with guys backing them up like Andy Headen, Byron Hunt and Pepper Johnson

Favorite offensive player: #1 - Bavaro...nuff said. #2Plax  #3 Phil Simms and #4 Rodney Hampton #5 Eli...finally!

Favorite Special teams player:  toss up between three, Phil McConkey, Reyna Thompson and David Tyree.

Got any?

My favorite Giant of all time would probably be Dave Megget. Explosive...

Eli is slowly approaching though.

Favorite Moment: The spanking of the Vikings 41-0 in the '01 playoffs.

Favorite Group: How about the receiving Superbowl core? Plax with the big TD, Tyrees sick catch, Steve Smith time and time again...

Ron Dixon has been my favorite return man. Superbowl return got us back in it in '01 but Jermaine Lewis immediate return ended the hopes rather quickly.

TIKI SUCKSSSSSSSSSSSS

Favorite Giant would be Lawrence Taylor

Favorite Moments: Thrashing the Broncos in the Super bowl, Wide Right, Ingram's catch and breaking tackles run on 3rd and 17 in the SB, I think it was Leonard Marshall who sacked Joe Montana and knocked him out, the Tyree catch and Plax TD, any Meggett punt return, LT breaking Joe Thiesman's leg or watching LT "swim" on the opposing QB

  1. Bavaro's Great Catch and run. Monday Nite football vs Niners.  He dragged 5 defenders another 15 yards after catch to turn game around in 3rd quarter.
  2. LT's  strip and forced fumble against Niners in NFC Championship game.
  3. Simms Flea Flicker to McConkey to 2 yard line....SB XXI
  4. 1985 Come from behind Victory over Chiefs at Meadowlands.....Simms to Mowatt,  Simms to Mowatt.......and then some more Simms to Mowatt
  5. Jason Sehorn's pick while almost lying on the ground and then returning for TD.
  6. Plax's  OT Catch vs Eagles for TD and game winner.
  7. Mark Ingrams " I will not be denied" first down catch and run....SB XXV
  8. This years NFC Championship game in Green Bay showed amazing desire, will and courage.  We refused to leave Lambeau without a Victory.
  9. Carl Banks play throughout the 86-87 playoffs was super human.
  10. Harry Carson inventing the Gatorade Dump on Parcells.

Jan 4 - 1987 Jim Burt steamrolled two blockers on a bull rush up the middle and absolutely knocked Montana senseless... I remember like yesterday the look on my buddy's face (who was a huge niner fan and had talked much smack all season-- btw a direct parallel  to the obnoxious Pat  fans this year)  like "how can this happen"?  Never forget it.

Eli's escape and Tyrees' catch-- instant football history lore.  Definitely one of the best plays ever.

Mark Bavaro carrying 5 niners, including Ronnie Lott on his back for what seemed like half the football field.

LT breaking Thiesman's was NOT a favorite moment for anyone who saw it live.  My face was about 10 inches from the TV screen and  I would pay to erase that visual from my brain.

Great post..  I was born in 79, so my earliest memories of football in general, not just GMEN football, was the 86 season..  I had seen football before, but that season I started to learn how the game was played, the rules, it all clicked during the SB run.

There are too many players to mention, but my favorite player of all time is LT.  The guy was larger than life at a time when I was just coming into my own with regards to really taking to sports (in terms of college football from the same period, mid-late 80s, I was a huge Brian Bosworth fan - I named my cat of over 10 years BOZ, lol..)

LT, and Big Blue, were my childhood.  The Yankees were medicocre, I wasn't into hoops just yet, or hockey..  My love of all sports started with that 86 NYG team..  Of recent years, I'd have to say I've really enjoyed watching Amani Toomer progress throughout his career..

Favorite moment, or most vivid moment, was of Leonard Marshall breaking Joe Montana in the 90 NFC championship game..  Or Mark Ingram's amazing 3rd down catch against the Bills that same season..

I hear the poster who mentioned Alford's hit on Brady.  That play just nailed the coffin in the Pats..  It wasn't that it was a timely sack in a critical juncture in the Super Bowl; it was the shear manhandling of Brady coming off his feet and being driven into the ground that was off the charts.  That sack/play serves as an analogy to the entire game.  For me at least, it sums it up best in terms of us OWNING them on the line of scrimmage the entire game..

And lets not forget the greatest play in football history..  GO Giants

My favorite player-hands down..the real LT.  Amazing to hear 70 thousand Giants fans cheering "LT,LT,LT" before every game.

I have a couple favorite memories.  Simms to McConkey in the Denver Superbowl and Bavaro holding him up the in air.  McConkey was awesome and to see him freak out after that catch was great.

LT's speech when his number was retired.  He walked out and said " I know i should be nervous standing up here but I'm not....cause this is my house"  That was really cool.

I got to go the the Superbowl this year with three brothers and that was one of the single best momenst in my life....amazing.

I guess the worst memory is Tiki.  So many years of sticking with him while he fumbled everything to watching him torch teams for over 200 yards a game, to watching him sell the Giants out for a reporting job.  Too bad.

Honestly, there are so many I couldn't list them all...it's great to be a Giants fan.

I love old-school football, so I really like Mel Hein. That guy was just a workhorse. I met Jason Sehorn right after he got drafted. I was young at the time, so that was enough for me like him. I think Harry Carson IS one of the best Giants, his loyalty and talent epitomizes what a Giant is.

My favorite moment? It's a bit soon, but the Immaculate Reception in XLII may be the greatest clutch play in football history for a few reasons:
1- It was the Super Bowl.
2- The outcome of the play determined the outcome of the game.
3- It featured an above-and-beyond performance from players at BOTH ends of the pass.
4- Both of those players were underdogs.
5- It spared the '72 Dolphins from having to share perfection.
