This guy is a flippin' zoo every time he steps on the mound.
If he starts at home there is a pretty good chance that the Rockies will be behind by the time the offense gets to the plate in the bottom of the first. On the other hand, on the road the Rockies hand him a 2-0 lead in the first and by the time the second inning arrives (about an hour later), the Rockies are looking at a 10-2 deficit. Like I said, "Are you kidding me ?"
Sure am glad that we found this guy since they didn't want to pay Josh Fogg a bargain price of $1 million. With a $68 million payroll, we couldn't afford $1 million for Josh Fogg ???

So I read if the Rockies release Redman this week they only have to pay him 25% of his $1 million contract. They are looking at other options such as Fogg,Julian Tavares, Towers to fill the starting role. They need more help than that though because De La Rosa was lit up in his start and I didn't see anything impressive with him.

If that's correct, I say ditch him, pay his $250,000, and move on...there has got to be a better way to spend the other $750,000.

So Redmen and Fogg both came with a price tag of 1 Mill. I think it is a no brainer, I'll take Josh Fogg for one Million. Even if that comes with a 250,000 penalty for cutting Redman.

From what I'm reading on these posts and seeing on the field, the Rockies "Brain" Trust really missed on this one. Fogg was one of the primary pitching reasons the Rockies were able to make post-season. That, alone, should have warranted consideration for re-signing. A million year for a reliable starting pitcher is a bargain. What were these guys thinking?

You're 100% right. Redman's been a pain to have out there on the mound along with every other starter in our rotation (with exception to Cook who is amazing). When the Rockies let Fogg go I was left scratching my head. His numbers weren't amazing, but he provided stability to a young rotation. Now our rotation has gotten even younger and is getting more unproven by the minute (i.e De La Rosa). If the Rockies don't fix their starting pitching soon...they'll be lucky to finish .500 this season....

You guys are buying high on Fogg, he can't even make the rotation in Cincy, last year was his career year. Having said that, he is better than Redman, my sister is also.
