The Bears released former Rams player, Adam Archuleta.  I thought Archuleta was decent player who player his heart out.  What do you think the chances are the Rams sign Archuleta?

The only way I see the Rams getting Archuleta back is very cheap and as a back-up player.  He's  a small LB playing Safety with little ball skills( it means doesn't have the hands or getting to the ball in the air skills) needed to be a good DB.  I do hope the best for him and I wish him well.

I wouldn't be interested in bringing him back.  The man blew assignments by over-running plays and wasn't a very sound tackler.  He seemed more interested in going for the highlight reel hit rather than just bringing the guy down with a clean tackle.  Too often, this would then result in Archuleta just bouncing off the guy as the ball carrier rumbled down field for more yardage.

If Lovie Smith has soured on him, I don't see any reason why we would want him back.

At one point in time Adam Archuleta was a decent football player. That time has long passed. He has become a downright awful player in the last couple of years. I don't think the Rams or any other team will sign him even as a backup. He is slow, injury prone, and makes far to many mistakes in coverage. That being said he is a nice guy and I wish him well but I think his time in the NFL is over.

Personally I hope the Rams give Adam Archuleta a shot... not because I think he can actually help the team, but because I still have an Archuleta #31 jersey hanging in my closet and (amazingly enough) it still fits!

Is it selfish of me to want him back just because I don't want to feel like I'm wearing a relic when I wear his jersey to Rams games?

I totally agree Madmike, at one time he was a decent player but as mentioned above that time has long past him by.

Next to none. He was undersized for his position but played with so much heart that he overcame a lot of the size issues. But with the repeat beating his body has worn down way to much. He was pretty much spent when he left St. Louis anyway.
