yeah, trade him now, while teams still think he is good (that makes sense...). that way, the Phillies can watch him heat up and hit 35-40 HR for someone else! don't wait for him to heat up and provide some value to your offense first, thereby increasing his trade value as well, ostensibly.
Ryan Howard does this every year. he starts out slow in april, and in may too last year, then goes on a tear. teixeira is the same way - they are slow starters. every team in baseball knows this, so i think just about any team would gladly take him, and they don't need to be duped into thinking he is good. they already know he is.
