Couldn't agree more. This has become a huge problem and you could see it coming for quite awhile.

I completely agree and I blame it on officiating. The officials are the ones that makes the 48th minute last a lifetime because they don't have the balls to call a foul when a foul is committed and most of the time they call a foul on players that is not a "superstar". A foul is a foul no matter who commits the foul.

When I went to the Pistons Vs. Orlando on Monday the final 48 seconds probably took at least 20-25 minutes to play between timeouts and free throws. Its horrible and eventually gets boring to watch and you just want it to be over.

The problem is with the way the refs call the entire game. They call too many fouls........ fouls when the defender is trying to avoid contact, and the "Star" is trying to create it. That is rediculous. It doesnt matter if the guys feet are set, if the offensive player initiates the contact, they need to not call the foul, and in some cases call it on the offensive player. Its gotten to the point where the defender will stand straight with his arms up in the air and stand like a statue and pray...... that is not defense, but it's all the refs will allow them to do. And even then, they will sometimes even call THAT a foul. Awful. I had to watch Tony Parker throwing his shoulder into everyone on the Suns, then Kobe Bryant....

Announcers will say "Kobe Bryant is the best in the league at creating contact"..... what?!?! Creating contact means the offensive player is responsible for the contact...meaning the defender is not at fault. Should the defender run away? Memmet Okur tries that on occation and still gets called for the foul. It's hopeless, and the NBA needs to change the way they officiate or they will hurt the sport irreversably. Watch a game from the 80s..... its the only REAL basketball out there.

Also, everything is called FOR Lebron just because the NBA wants him to win all the time.

I will have to defend the league in SOME instances.  When you're team is down by 4 with 24 seconds or less you HAVE to foul!  Extend the game as far as possible and hope they miss some free throws!  It's the teams job that's ahead to hit all their free throws.  If they don't then the trailing team has to score, and quick to try and catch up!

Really Easton229? Because I don't remember LeBron going to the line too often in game 6 last year when he stomped your beloved Pistons into the ground...

A team that plays as dirty as the Pistons doesn't get to comment on the officials. Period.

I don't blame the refs. They are under too much pressure, I mean you can only ignore the constant whining of the players for so long. And the so-called superstars are the biggest culprits. Duncan, James, etc. I am looking at you! Towards the end of the game they go into the lane without a hope and the only prayer they have is the refs who are in way over their heads.

There are also too many timeouts. The coaches shouldn't be able to micro-manage as much as they do. I am looking at you Popavich (Hack-a-Shaq)! It gets old fast. Prepare your team and let them play.
