Both sides (Titans managemnet and Albert Haynesworth) expected Haynesworth to hold out during mini camp.  No one is surprised by this move so its not sending a new message to the team.  I'm pretty sure that even the coaches expected this and are ready to go through mini camp without the star DT.

My guess is that talks between the two sides will not fully resume until the June 15th, which is the deadline for teams to retract qualifying offers to restricted free agents.  June 16th, anyone not signed to a contract is a free agent (with the exception of Restricted Free Agents without standing offers - they will be free agents on June 1st, and of course Franchise and Transition players have conditions if other teams want to sign them).  That will give the Titans an entire month to work out a deal with Albert's agent.

If a deal is not done by the July 15, then the Titans can only sign him to a 1 year contract for the 2008 season.  However, the two sides can still negotiate a long term contract for beyond 2008 between July 15, 2008 and February ??, 2009 (Start of 2009 free agency) .

If he is not signed between June 15th and July 15th, I'm going to start worrying.  But for now, I'm not gonna sweat this.
