Just got word from inside the Brewers that Braun is expected to sign through 2013 for 8 to 9 mil a season. Looks like they believe Boras wants to get Fielder out when his contract is up, seeing as how there is nothing in the works

Boras is a snake. Drew Rosenhaus and Boras have contributed nothing to professional sports. They both remind me of Gordon Gekko "Greed is Good".

If this is true this is a GREAT DEAL for the Brewers.

I sincerely doubt that there is even a modicum of truth to this. Braun is worth far more than that and his value will increase with experience.

I got this from what I feel is a reliable source. It only takes up one year of his free agency period, and saves the Brewers from arbitration until then. Remember he has the rookie contract which is for 4 more years. This looks like it could be a win/win for both sides.

If it's so reliable, why won't you say who it is?

I am holding a press conference to announce this afternoon that I will be coming out of retirement. After 10 years of rest I expect my arm to be very lively and I will be performing surgery on opposing hitters. I will be signing a 3 year contract worth 4 million per season plus a club option for a 4th year.
Reliable sources say this is a good move for the Brewers to finally hire the services of the Surgeon to join the starting rotation.

The source is a good friend of mine that works for the Brewers, if you don't believe me I don't care. I just thought I'd share the good news he gave me. Some of you are getting so worked up its sad. When the contract is announced you can apologize and suck one. Have a pleasant day.

Hey stub, I can understand what you are saying. You just wanted to give people a little taste of some insider info, maybe break up all of the gloom and doom that lives here now but you can't rat out our source. Some people dont get that because they want it all. They want to have proof so they can run to their little roto friends and say, "you heard it from me first".
If it works out, you become a go to guy for info and if not, you lose your cred. I just hope your friend is credible and for some reason I think this could be a real deal so count me as one of the people saying thanks for the info.

If this is true I will be happy to get 1 of 2 players we need signed for the future. This would be a good deal for both sides because the Brewers know if they want to they could keep paying him jack crap until get is eligible for arbitration. The question is will we be able to lock up Prince for a long term deal too?

I agree, if this is true, that Fielder becomes the next big question.
If, at some point during the off season, it becomes painfully clear that Boras and Fielder have no intention of signing a long term deal, how do you deal with Fielder at that point?

If Boras spends enough time pouring crap into Fielders ear you know he will walk. The stupid pinstripes can offer anyone, anything...and I don't know too many people that can turn down 80+ million if it gets tossed your way. Hey stubby ask your "info" if we have any prospects on the farm that could put any kind of dent into our rotation?
