Marty has a problem playing at the "Joe." The fact that we have home ice advantage is just one good chance in favor of the Wings. Marty has not won there.....0-8-2 record ....it intimidates him for some reason mentally (MSU grad.). That being said, Wings play the net, they have many, many scorers, defence scored many goals all year and continues to score repeatedly. They shoot the puck in the zone and are on it in seconds....the shooter that is!. Top 3 scorers in the playoffs. They are great in the neutral zone.....and can rely on their blueline for points. They skate amazingly. Franzen has now tied Gordie's playoff record.
They are balanced.....and they had some good hits as they played the boards well last night.
That is how they ROLL!
I have watched every game.....they are on a HOT streak...believe me....more players will be stepping up....Cleary,....and others.
